Eddie Howe

I think the most refreshing thing I find in his interviews is that he doesn't fear challenges and always looks to find solutions and is never content at just standing still

A few of our previous managers would have been dreading yesterday and would have been delighted with a narrow loss yet Howe has repeatedly said in his interviews he was delighted with our effort but takes responsibility to try find a way for us to do it more consistently so we can reach the levels he and the board want us to get to

A reminder that this man achieved this 90 minutes of utter joy, which we hadn't seen in 20 years or more. He did it with Longstaff, Almiron and Burn in the side.

He manages this club with class, intelligence and dignity. So when match days come around and you don't like the teamsheet or the way the match plays out, remember, he knows more than me or you and has earned the right to manage this club and make mistakes.

When I look around the rest of the PL and see the other managers, there's nobody I'd trade him for (ok I'd have Pep but fuck you). He's absolutely fantastic and call me a Howe fan boy all you like, because that's exactly what I am.

I thank you Sir.

I can't fathom liking a manager more than I do our Eddie Howe. As much as I want Newcastle to be successful on and off the pitch, I want Eddie Howe to be the one doing that.

One of my favourites too. Never get tired of watching it, Targett to Willock, crosses to Bruuuuunnnnoooooo :indi:

Not sure I've celebrated a goal more viscerally than that one

I was in a packed pub in the middle of Plymouth during that game, but no-one was actually their for the match (other than me and one other dude) it was just Easter and the sun was out for the first time that year, so when that goal went in I not only scared the living shit out of anyone around me who where not paying attention, but also got loads of looks from people like I was bonkers. Was class

I’m genuinely astonished how we are so extremely poor and sloppy in possession so often. How is it possible for us to not gain proper control of games? We keep giving the ball away time after time. Hoping for a much improved second half. These are so very easily there for the taking.  And we’ve still been the better side. Especially towards the end.

We have literally controlled the half.  Away from home in the premier league that's not easy anywhere.

I know we have controlled the game, but not as well as we could have. Lost count of how many times we’ve lost possession by being sloppy. Still the better team. Hoping for improved 2nd half when it comes to crispness in our passing. Much improved towards the end thankfully.

Everton have had the game exactly where they’ve wanted so far.

Not really

They are very happy to allow the opposition to have most of the ball and then occasionally go forward and be direct. So yes, really!

Performance has been fine imo. One of our better away efforts. We should have won it if we could finish/had a striker fit.
