I have never seen a Newcastle team so balanced in defence and attack, we can literally do both.

We're beating the so called big teams away from home and making their fans question their whole being.

.

And we're still not the completed squad yet.

I stopped listening to them a while ago because the lass on the show would open her mouth, words would dribble out and she never managed to make a coherent sentence, really annoyed me!

Rant over.

So, so bad. TBF, for balance. It’s not just her. Said it on here before. But main beardy UKIP bloke used to go on about ASM being left footed. Then spent one episode banging on about Joelinton being left footed. Never pulled up on it.

The good ones are rarely on the reviews now. Norman was good. Adam offered a bit more, too.

Now it is all just “we are mint. We are fucking class. We will beat anyone. Bring it on.”

Then we lose the next game and they’re all chipping away at Howe

Anyway. Fuck them. Eddie Howe is “I mean. Like. He’s MINT. Like, you know. SO LUSH.”

Its kind of like the whole Isak v Henry debate... people are comparing Isak to the complete Henry player, when Isak is only only 25 and not yet begun.

This is the best Newcastle team that can attack and and/or defend imo  but to compare the to Sir Bobby or KK is too early as its not yet at its conclusion.

But I still cant remember an NUFC team that can go on the front foot or sit and counter with ease, we've always been lacking one element.

you’ll never replicate the emotion of the Keegan years, just because of the timing and how the whole thing went from start to finish..

that aside.. at the moment, when we hit form like we have, this is the best team I’ve ever seen us have in my lifetime. None of the “we will score more than you” mentality.. just every player doing exactly what’s needed at an extremely high level. Amazing Eddie, great things will come in time.

The Keegan era literally felt like we were riding on a cloud in a free league. This era feels like we're toppling a dictator regime one piece at a time.

4th, 3rd, 5th. Two CL campaigns. UEFA cup semi. Not yet. But he'll get there.

In terms of the bottom line it's hard to argue, all I'd say is that we're in a more competitive era now and I enjoy the football that we play far more than I did under SBR.

I don't really care what anyone says but if he wins the League Cup he's our G.O.A.T

I've lived my whole life resigned to the fact we would never win anything and this year is the most I've ever believed it can happen.

I suppose it depends if you credit Keegan with basically saving the entire club.

Always going to be difficult for anyone to beat that, but it might be an emotional assessment.

Eddie saved the club in the first season with basically the most impossible task in front of him thanks to the fat headed duo.

Very fair point.

Either way the fact he’s in the conversation means he’ll go down as a club legend. Wins a trophy and it’s very hard to pick anyone else as our best ever manager.

Last 9 games. 9 wins. 26 scored. 3 conceded. Fucking immense.

Makes my posts after that Brentford game look extremely fucking silly. Long may it continue.

We have much better players now than we did under Sir Bobby is why I'd go with Sir Bobby.  Not many of them would threaten this team or even Keegans.

Keegan's #1 even if someone else wins something (Gullit and Dalgish got closer than anyone for example) yet Eddie's the one I'd trust the most.

Just in terms of managers within my time I'd say Bobby Robson would remain the GOAT at least for me, then followed by howe and then Keegan (special shout out to benitez as well but not too 3)

This.

Eddie stopped us getting relegated to the Championship and got us to 4th.

Keegan stopped us getting relegated to L1 (And likely folding) and got us 2nd in the Prem, and within a whisker of a title.

And by god did we play some amazing stuff under him. I love Eddie, and there's no present manager I'd rather have in the here and now to take us forward. But Keegan is still number 1 for me.
