Need to address our possession trouble. It’s ruining almost every game now.

This for me with Howe. Too often, we look a badly coached side with the ball, where it falls down to individuals to try and do something, rather than patterns of play to disjoint a side.

Think he’ll be helped by players being signed who can do that, but then is that the players Howe wants?

None of it looks right, been masked with that fantastic run this season. We haven't looked like playing the football we did with pressing, attacking and opening teams up. There was a time when we scored we immediately pressed to get a 2nd or in 2nd halves rushed teams, looks stale and boring now

Yep, that run may of well cost us, thinking we are better than we actually are .

It’s a side in desperate need of a refresh in terms of personnel, and how we play. We look worse than ever in possession and yet again we looked worse when the subs came on.

We can't sit on our hands until the summer. We need to find a way to get results this season, not next.

5th round of the cup at home against Brighton and he sets us up to allow Brighton the ball, allow them plenty of space to bring the ball forward, with virtually no pressing and then to hit them on the counter. It hasn't worked in any of the games recently he's tried the same thing. Absolutely woeful tactics and again his in game tactics totally non existent. I'll await the sheep to start bleating now

again, nothing wrong with the plan today. It was pretty well executed as well in the first half. Let down by brainless footballers.

The plan was to struggle keeping hold of the ball and constantly give it away ?

Loathe to criticise Howe too much. That squad looks stale as fuck, which is understandable as we haven't bought a first team player for an absolute age.

This summer is key. A rebuild and a rethink is needed.

We cant play a high line and press because our back line is to slow, so we attempt to play out but we don’t have players who are good enough with the ball to do so. Most teams don’t even bother pressing Burn because he’s no good with the ball, so they’ll press Schar and cut lanes and most of the time it works for the opposition. Schar has struggled with it. With Bruno at 8 we attempt to play make higher up the field but he gets shut out a lot against better sides because he’s athletically lacking and can be exposed. Leaves us looking flat and toothless.

The crowd sit on their hands because our crowd has always been one that feed off the team and not the other way around, when we don’t start quick the place gets so anxious.

It’s not Howes fault, he’s doing the best he can with the tools he has available (most of the time anyway). We havnt signed a upgrade to our first team since summer 2023.

Agree but his tactics and approach have gone backwards mind. That resembled the tripe Bruce served up with much better players in areas

He’s not a possession manager and never will be, though. We’ve always known that.

Of course, don't expect us to play like peak Pep Man City but we never look like we have any control.

Give over. People are allowed different opinions, and some don't fancy a massive overreaction to a bad bit of form.

But sure, go ahead and laud your negative opinion over everyone else like its the only one that matters.

You've got to commend it really, no clue brute has been at this for years. What I'd give for our team to have that level of consistency

Seasons falling apart I think. Hall be out for a while probs miss the cup final. Isak going off today didn’t look great, Tino limping.

exhausted from today, no Gordon, all destined to lose new few games and season spiral down the pan, the guys all just look scared and exhausted.

We're in a bit of a rut at the moment. We look tentative on the ball and our game is littered with individual errors.

He'll turn it around, he always does, I just hope it's in time for the cup final.

The league form is more important for me, because I don't think we have the players to win a cup final against `Liverpool.

I hate losing in the FA Cup - which I should be used to by now.  That was a poor performance though, and Howe will attract and deserve some reasonable criticism for it.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens in the summer - whether Mitchell has the ruthless edge that Howe lacks re selling players.

I’d like to see Howe’s NUFC ver2.0 - to see if we can adjust to a different style.  ‘Intensity is our identity’ always had a limited shelf life - it would be good to see an evolution in play next season.  He’s a smart bloke, so I’d hope that he has a vision for it.  I’m sure he does.

I suspect we will need European football for that to happen, though.
