Great little interview that. 

 

Not to stereotype your average football players brain capacity, ok go on then, but you can see why finding the right players that can adjust and thrive under Howe can be challenging or bedding players in takes time.

Don't think it'll happen, but I'd love to start the season with any new signings we get, just have a feeling he'll play safe and the likes of Pope, Burn & Murphy will start at Villa. Would just prefer to see us attack the season with the perceived best team (new keeper, Botman, new RW).

I mean, Burn & Murphy 100% deserve to start, Burn in particular was our best CB last season and was comfortably our player of the season, so for him to not start would be a banana's decision imo.

Eddie won't pick a side based on last seasons performance or "ooh play the new kid" he'll do it based on the needs of the game who's doing the business in training.

 

He'll pick what he considers is the team likely best suited to win the game.

That is all very well but that is not the way to share minutes around the squad to prevent fatigue and injury
