Of course I do.

But there is contributing and giving your opinion about the team and match and commenting on other people being stupid or crazy for their opinion. I think you should stick to the first.

We still as a fan base has a small club mentality. Just because something good happened recently you are not allowed to be questioning the current situation.

I'm not questing Howe being here. But questioning his decisions at the moment.

What was something good that happened recently ?

Everything is shit

You guys criticising other for being moaning or critical, you forget this is a place to discuss the situation. And if you can’t see issues or we are not allowed to discuss them what is the point of being here?

I will never forget the time of finishing 5th with Pardew and everyone could see we were riding our luck and the way we played were not sustainable. You are he same guys saying shut up, we are winning, you’re now allowed to say anything negative.

We are in a much better place today but surely doesn’t mean we are not allowed to discuss Eddie and how we play?

When him and Tindall were stood on the touchline chatting tactics and Eddie had his arm loosely draped over Tindall’s shoulder, did anyone else contemplate all that those boys have been through together in their lives and then feel a surge of pride in their loins. Or was it just me.

Do you remember when he was appointed and there were concerns he wouldn't be pragmatic enough and we would be too easy to score against. Well he's certainly put that to bed. Today was a bit too pragmatic for my tastes to be fair, I think I feel briefly into a boredom induced coma halfway through the second half, but I think Howe's main goal was to not lose.

Woltemade was low on the list because everyone under the sun thought he was going to Bayern.

I don’t agree.

Woltemade doesn’t have the PL pedigree of Delap nor the general pedigree of Etikite, Sesko or Joao Pedro. Nick W has scored 20 professional goals in his career prior to joining.  Sesko has 90 - they are the same age.

He might end up the best player of the lot. But we went for him last for a reason and it’s not just that he was Bayern bound.

Delap and Pedro were to replace Wilson.

Ekitike barely got a goal until two seasons ago.

Etikite had scored 10 Ligue 1 goals before his 21st birthday.  Earning him a move to PSG. At the same age Woltemade had scored 2 Bundesliga goals and was plying his trade in the 3rd tier of German football on loan.

No shade on Nick. Players develop at different rates.  But I can’t believe we would’ve gone for Nick W over Etikite or Sesko or the others.

And that’s what happened. We went for those first so I’m going to assume they were ahead in the pecking order.

We are one point behind on the same opposition as last season, and our performances have been better than our points total suggests. We just need to figure out how to get our attack to click, which will be easier when Gordon and Wissa are back but defensively we look excellent.

Champions League football should be our target and I haven’t seen anything from the other clubs in the league to say we can’t do it.

Think he's suffering a bit from Rafa's short blanket for the time being. We look solid and assured defensively but it's pretty bland going forward. Can't blame him and the injury to Wissa before he's even kicked a ball for us is a major kick in the knackers too. We've only conceded to Liverpool and Barca so far but taking just 3 points from Villa, Leeds and Bournemouth away seems a little light. He'll get it right once we have more options. Just feels like we're still waiting for it to click, we can't find third gear yet

We had 10 points at this stage last season but also didn't play well until Nov at Forest away. We fluked so many games before that.

I totally agree with you that Ekitike was clearly our choice after Pedro failed. We've been after him for ages. But he had two seasons largely to forget before finally having a good season at Frankfurt. He scored 4 in 14 goals his loan season there, which was good enough for a permanent. Last season was the first time he got over 10 goals in a season since his time at Reims. Woltemade is a different profile from Sesko and in the long term would probably suit where Howe wants to go a bit more in many ways, so I'm less certain about that one. Of course if any of them were Mbappe level at that age instead of massive potential, we probably wouldn't have even bothered. The point is that Woltemade was greatly admired but apparently wasn't even considered as a possible option due to Bayern's interest until late in the window. Comparing him to Delap and Pedro, who was set to replace Wilson is changing the goal posts.

There was a moment they simultaneously shouted the same thing out the blue and I said to me Da "Shows how long they've worked together and how well they work that they both shouted the exact same thing out the blue at the same time"
