Had us up for it and tactically excellent going forward with all the chances we made.

Didn't manage to plug that gap between defence and midfield all game though, the 3 or 4 big City chances shown on MOTD all started with that one pass between the defence and midfield.

As many people have said for weeks, it’s about which fullbacks play.

You'd expect Burn to be back in vs Marseille, what with Hall cramping after an hour last night and Eddie's loyalty. Hopefully then means Hall starts away at Everton.

The right side is a bit of a mess. With Trips/Krafu out you can't have Tino do 90+ mins 3 days after doing 100 mins vs City. Just back from an injury we can't risk another with him. Really need fullback cover in January like.

Wouldn't surprise me to see a 5 at the back scenario with Burn LB and Murphy RB. I'd probably swap Ramsay with Joelinton and then have Woltemade up top with dare I say it Elanga in a 532. Means we can sit in and hit them on the break with Elangas pace and Woltemades ability to hold the play up gives us an outlet.

Realistically a draw there would be a very good point.

Not exactly easy when they had Foden, Doku and Cherki all hovering between defense and midfield all the time.

There's no reason why we can't go to Christmas on an unbeaten run. No real gimmies in there but also nothing where you'd say we should be leaving with nothing

Might hinge on keeping Hall and Tino fit, We've been lacking confidence for sometime so beating city hopefully can be a catalyst.

got away with one yesterday but played well. We move on to Tuesday

Yes, sure did get away with that absolutely deserved victory. But it’s a pointless win if we don’t win the league, if I remember correctly.

Still waiting for the law school.

Yet you had us having a chance in one home game before the end of the year.

I didn’t think we’d beat City, pleasantly surprised but not getting carried away. If we go from that to another turgid away showing it will put things in a different perspective.

Not about never being happy, just being realistic about the season so far. It’s been a total mixed bag. I want Eddie Howe to succeed, don’t know how many times I have to write that to sink in, my position has always been if he isn’t turning it around we should make a change, in the summer if that were to happen but my preference is for him to succeed, I just have long term doubts if he’ll ever be consistent enough to challenge in the league.

Not sure why that’s such heresy.
