He's got a big 2026. Most important year in his career. Hopefully he's asking himself the correct questions, and not just the easy ones.

I'd argue the year he won his first major trophy, and got a club into the Champions League for the second time in 3 years would be the most important year in his career to be honest.

I just want to say, "Eddie, I love you and I always will, no matter how it ends. Thank you for everything you've done for us, and hopefully there is a lot more to come. I am desperate for you continue succeeding with us".

X Wing should have a banner behind it "auf wiedersehen prem tyne to go" as I recall, to remind people how far we've come

Win the next 7, lose 1-0 to a 98th min PSG pen after Gordon’s hair flicks Dembele in the face.

See the ‘Yes’ vote go up by 10.

He's got a great set of fixtures to turn this around. It's now or never. Don't, and the season will just fade into nothing and the decision to change will be made.

All in his hands. Hopefully the club do him a favour and bring a couple of players in, even if it's loans to plug the gaps in defence.

Well it is. If he doesn't get the wins with this months fixtures, the club will be looking at a new manager come the end of the season. We'd be out of both domestic cups, and at best have a play off in CL before being dumped out next round (I'd still think that would be a successful CL campaign not judging the domestic comps) He gets the wins and it sets up the season and we have something to play for.

He's had all season to turn it around, so far we've seen little sign of it. This isn't a blip, we've been poor all season and the back end of last one as well. You can't keep under performing and burning through winnable games and expect to stay in a job. The season is at the halfway point and at a crossroads. This is a massive month, it could decide not just the fate of the manager, but a lot of the players as well.

Decision may already have been made with his 99.9% comments, and could explain why the players just aren't performing for him. That aside, it's crunch time for us and him.

I'm not so sure about that, the Saudis seem to have checked out a bit, went long without a sporting director etc.

[emoji38] Come on.

There’s no reason to think Eddie is going to be instantly shown the door with one down season. Sometimes managers and coaches go stale somewhere, but sometimes there’s just a down or transition season. I don’t understand this burning desire to move onto something new.

While it's true we've got an easier run this month, we also have to play a lot of the bigger teams away from home later on, so the end of the season will tell the real story regardless of how we do in the easier run.

No offence but you sound entitled and deluded.

but I’m not convinced you’re wrong about PIF. If we sack Howe we will see an era of mediocrity. Of that I’m so confident.

IMO this season is about giving Howe a platform to succeed.  The squad needs to be much improved. We need movement on infrastructure. We need to be a club on the up.

This isn’t an Amorim situation where a decent coach gets an easy 15% improvement on the pitch.  I don’t think there’s a massive underperformance happening.  So this ‘has got x to turn it around’ just sounds silly to me. You think someone is going to come in and make this squad have CL form whilst competing on all these fronts? You’re deluded imo.

Never said CL form. Some decent football or a little winning run would be nice. And again, it's this month or not at all, as tron has pointed out, we've got a load of tough away games coming up. An identity. An execution of a plan. Maybe even a backup plan. Making decent subs at the right time. Stop throwing away points. Control a game. Stoop shitting the bed when we take a lead. Stop playing the same players who are letting him down game after game. It's not a high bar. Certainly not entitled or deluded. It feels directionless (and maybe he's got sick of picking up the slack the mess the club has made in the boardroom and that is now impacting what he does, even his energy levels) Yet this month coming up can go a long way to correct all that, and that's all I'm saying with now or never. If it's not this month, this season fades fast. Then I feel it'll be kicking he can down the road for a mutual departure in the summer.

We're easily the most underperforming team in the league this season. You could argue wolves, even they should have a few wins (probably 1st against us no doubt) but we are poor by the standards you'd associate with us, and especially Howe.
