Getting triggered by normal day-to-day sayings must make life intolerable

Yeah, sometimes you've just got to call a spade a spade.

Hearing Keane etc talk about taking Eddie from us. Fuck right off!

Even putting his football brilliance to one side...I love having him as the calm spokesman that he is. Just chilled to fuck. No chance of him embarrassing us, always making us look classy.

It’s a good time to make the point but incidentally I don’t rate Glasner highly at all, and didn’t before the hype either. Palace are overly reliant on their out of possession approach and fast breaks. When they have the ball they are horrendous with it. His approach will never cut it at the top level because he doesn’t have any idea how to coach a team to break teams down or keep possession.

That sounds like Howe [emoji38]

Glasner is a fine coach evidenced by winning big trophies with clubs that don’t win big trophies.

 there's always an example. Like when people say that nobody is suggesting that Howe gets sacked.

Aye.

Just 2/3 weeks ago some dopes were saying he's entered Steve Bruce territory. Crazy this place.

Hope he plays the 4-2-3-1 again. We looked good in possession and passing it about for the first 50-60 odd minutes or whatever it was. Didn’t create loads. But we had made 7 changes and were missing plenty of players who would have helped in that regard.

Doesn't seem like Howe was as keen on it as I was.....  From .com

"It was OK. There were some good bits and bits that weren’t maybe so good. I wanted to do it in a game that would tactically benefit us.

"I wanted the option to go to it, I don’t see this being a regular system… but who knows.”

How did Iraola and Glasner get on yesterday? They still the best choices to replace Eddie, aye?

They are both underdog managers. When we move on from Howe, we need a different kind of coach.

But we were shit for almost all of 2025.

It might seem like that, but we played 38 league games in the calendar year. Won 18, drew 6, lost 14. Scored 62 conceded 50 and points per game (ppg) was 1.58 (worse than 2022 2.00ppg, 2023 1.65pph, and 2024 1.66ppg) but comparing to whole seasons 1.58ppg would be our 11th best PL era season (so top third).
Cup wise, we also beat Arsenal twice, Liverpool (pretty memorable one!), Bradford, Spurs, and Fulham in the Carabao cup (no losses in year). Bromley and  Birmingham in the FA Cup (losing to Brighton). R. Union SG, Benfica, & Athletico Bilbao in the CL. Drawing away to Leverkusen and losing away to Marseille. So cup wise, P15, W11, D1, L3. GF 34 GA12.

So not really shit by our or anyone’s standards (plus 🏆 of course).

Ah! Apologies. We were a little off the pace League wise but hey ho. It is off the pace Eddie has set not our usual pace.

I was being sarcastic. A few on here claimed that, even though we were fantastic after the League Cup until April. Just part of the rewriting of history that goes on here all the time.

Oh shit, Lush Vlad already covered it. Cheers.

Honestly some of the posts who complain about people not enjoying the victory are usually the ones that seem the most aggressive and anger fuelled. Is a critical forum post enough to ruin the joy of a win completely?

Jesus, man. Taken in a vacuum, no. But some of you just constantly seem to try to suck the joy out of a room, and then act shocked when people grow tired of it. So yeah, keep it context free.
