Hughesy
I don’t quite know how I’ve changed my mind so quickly, but after being firmly in favour of giving Howe the rest of this season and at least half of next and accepting that we might not qualify for Europe this season, today has finally made me wonder if he’s got it in him to turn this around. Armchair Pundit
I stand by that playing on four fronts, with an injury-ridden team, with low quality in depth, after last summer's Isak saga (which must have played on the player's minds) and signing two panic buy strikers, while being held back by PSR and having to work through an excessive fixture list, imo gives Eddie some reasonable reasons for our season and current level to be considerably hampered. We're a victim of our own success from previous seasons. What bothers me more is that PIF don't seem in that much of a rush to get things moving on the new stadium/expansion, new training ground and new scouting network front. There's no excuses of PSR hindrance for those.

HaydnNUFC
First time all season I’ve genuinely rather than toyed with the thought we need a change. We are so bad.

For context, we played less games in the Champions League though, and played our last game in that on Dec 13th after being eliminated. Better chance to at least rest a bit more than now. Matt1892
Iraola would be my choice, I can see him making the step up to Man City or Liverpool eventually.
TRon
I think he might get another season just on the back of his relatively successful time here. Give him a chance to right the wrongs. He has to be kept away from recruitment though.

Sir Joel Inton
Just now, Hudson said: Nobody better than a 35 year old Trippier. Not buying that This is where Howe has far too much influence over transfers and where people who try to downplay his influence are proven wrong. Any club would be bringing in fullback cover this month. Only one man sat in front of the press stating we didn’t because there was nobody to improve the team. Howe thinks that because his fullback cover is two of his purples, Burn and Trippier.

ElDiablo
I think his main problem is we cannot dominate physically anymore, that's his main identity. Through a combination of more fixtures, the main core of the team getting older and a shocking summer, we actually look a soft touch now.
TheEntertainer
This season we’ve looked shocking simple as. It’s a clear regression and it feels like we should try and do something about that. I’m not sure Eddie out is the answer, but I’m getting more and more frustrated by how poor we’ve looked every single game. Something has to give, and unfortunately in football that’s usually the manager.
nufc4eva
I would certainly be thinking carefully before buying him any players, he chose the summer lot and apart from Thiaw they have been terrible and even he is dropping off which is to be expected when you see the shit around him

Matt1892
If he can’t cope with the fixtures of Champions League football then it is hard to argue that he is a Champions League level manager.

Doesn't sound much but that's 4 weeks where we'll have had time on the training ground, to recover, to analyse games, etc, that we haven't had this season. Also we struggled during the fixture congestion as we are now. It's once that eased up that performances/results improved.

I just fear that something’s broken or he’s run out of ideas. hopefully I’m just panicking and those with calmer heads prevail and they get through this rough patch. As I alluded to (I don’t post here much anymore), I’m fine with finishing 10th in PL, but I want to see some signs of improvement for the rest of the season.
