I'm still Howe in.

Three weeks to reset and come back from this. European football is still possible

Some shite European competition can get to fuck if this is gonna be our domestic form while competing in it. Eddie Howe can’t do multiple competitions

Probably right he gets another season anyway. If he got sacked there'd always be a band of Howe fans who would hold it against the club forever.

Yeah but you know what we all know about us fans. We are..

It all depends on who comes in, the transfer window and start. They would soon be back on board.

He won’t be sacked imo, there is zero chance anyone running the club has any kind of succession plan in place if it was to happen.

So make a plan now and sack him at the end of the season.

I don't even know what to think at this stage. We just seem stagnant and have done all year. What we just witnessed is absolutely unacceptable, a complete disgrace. I have to be honest the constant whining about lack of training time

grates as well, good teams play a lot.

Yep, that boils my piss too - and I suspect it’s only an issue if you sign a squad of athletes and not technically able footballers.  We look like a complete shambles - and worse that was an insipid, gutless display.  I think he’s cocked this up really, really badly - I’m not convinced he can fix this.  Too much needs to happen and I wouldn’t be convinced by trusting Howe and his nephew and the yes-man DOF.  There’s no-one at the club’s tiller so I doubt anything is likely to change.

Disgraceful performance today but the manager is the least of our issues.  A big rebuild needed.

He assembled that team today. Spent more money on it than any other manager in the history of NUFC and you'd seriously allow him to squander more on a rebuild? He decides on tactics. He gave the HT team talk and we didn't come out yet again for the 2nd half.

To say he's the least of our worries is ludicrous in all honesty.

He really really needed the result today.

I think majority of fans were totally understanding of the summer, the tough CL, league and Fa cup draws, leading to more games than any other team contributing to the really poor league form.

But I think we had to get the win today to break the awful league derby record and to keep us ahead of them and in the hunt for Europe.

Even if they comeback and won every game now til the end of the season (we won't) I still don't think fans will give a shit and will still be pissed off heading into a rough summer where we have to sell out better players yet again.

Gonna be the darkest period of his reign and hard to see any light at the end of the tunnel with this squad at the moment. Far too many aren't good enough.

He needs to go on a run for the remainder of the season to save his job. A season where we should have progressed based on what we spent in the summer has been largely stagnant or slightly regressive if you look at our average performances.

Love Eddie and want him to succeed, but today and a good portion of the season the results are not good enough.

Too wedded to his 433 and unwilling to adapt.

Said this for a while now. That's how we end up playing Woltemade in midfield, and we can't find a formation that will work where he plays as a striker...which is what we bought him for.

It's canny disheartening seeing the way in which people turn like, we've been shit most of the season. Hopefully we're back on track next year with one game a week and everyone's back to pretending they never went on like this again.

If we sack him we will be competing with Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs, Bournemouth possibly Villa for a manager. We are likely getting 5th choice

It’s not two games tho is it? We’ve lost more games than we’ve won in the league this season

We've dropped 22 points from winning positions this season and over 60% of our goals conceded have been in games where we scored first.

Do PIF give a shit about the derbies anyway? I'm not convinced they're that arsed.

They should be arsed with the Club finding itself at 12th in the table. It’s unacceptable.

Needs more control over transfers if anything.

We'd be at our PSR limit with an average midtable team, unable to fix it for seasons to come.

I thought for a while when I saw the lineups on the telly that "Oh finally, 4-2-3-1 with Wolte behind the striker; yes please". Then the kick-off happens and Wolte was popping up on the left side of midfield. :okay:

Absolutely, who's going to tell him no? Fair play like he's built a castle for himself and I can't knock him for it but I was always worried we end up in shits creek if it goes tits up. Many millions pissed away and we are essentially stuck with stranded assets we've massively overpaid for.

He only fixes this by going back to his press style but I think that has probably run it's course, our players aren't hungry and they don't believe in it anymore.

I'm trying my level best not to over react but christ that was bad and it isn't even the first one of these shambles this season either.

I'm not going to advocate for getting rid of him but it is very galling that he's just been unable to get us to look like an 'eddie howe team' all season. It's starting to look like he's struggling to be able to affect things at all.

Our CEO probably thinks it was an extraordinary result.

More so, are we ready to see Eddie and mad dog in the dugout at one of those first 4?

Difficult to see us transforming into a side which passes their way through games, when everything has been geared to high intensity football. He needs to ditch a lot of players and buy some who can implement that style effectively. Not tht easy tbh.

yeah, I mean I get why people are upset and this season has just been consistent anguish over and over again (not to mention the huge mitigating circumstances from the summer), but given what we've had from him in past seasons it's flummoxing that so many won't accept a bad season from him.
