This isn’t just a reaction based on what we’ve just watched or the fact that we’ve played 50 games and look exhausted, but this is the first time where I’ve wanted a managerial change.

I love Eddie and I know there’s a bit of a ‘be careful what you wish for here’, but we’ve gone backwards.

I really don’t enjoy watching us play at all these days. There’s no shape, no control, boring patterns of play, poor at attacking and defending set pieces, can’t keep the ball, and so many other things.

I can’t see what we’re going to do to improve. What is our philosophy, what are we trying to do. Big questions need to be asked with the direction given the season will end with a mid table finish

Far too many excuses have been churned out for Howe on here this season imo. This has been coming for ages

I was probably the first to say Howe out, but I don’t really see the point in going. We have recruited terribly

Howe likes athletes, you can the limitation of this in our games. And that's a problem.

Whether people care to admit it or not I expect there are more people that are ok with Eddie not being here next season than not.

To Eddie's aid we dont have owners that understand the fan mindset here so I doubt he is judged from these two derby performances.

It hurts, it should do. But how we react next game and after will decide his fate.

Without giving my own feeling (I'm a bit conflicted), out of cups, out of CL and putting in that performance when 3 points would surely put us in good stead for a European place (Europa/Conference) is a kick in the balls. :anguish:

We should not sack him.

He should be given a chance next season and if we have a poor start, have a plan in place to replace him.

I don’t trust him to spend any money wisely.

For that reason alone I sadly can’t see why he should be in charge after the Fulham game.

I was hoping he could turn it around but its been the same shit week after week and its showing no signs of getting better.

 what u mean like? Bare minimum squad going far in all cups, yet losing to barca in the last 25% of the leg? have a day off ffs

Widely regarded as one of the best recruitment professionals in the game.

I can tell you for fact that isn’t remotely true at all

Honestly feel like he’s a super premium Scott Parker. Parker gets teams promoted but not good enough in the PL.

Howe gets teams to Europe but can’t play twice a week.

How many times will we look far worse coming out second half?  We're 1 - 0 up and ended the half nearly making it 2.  But we come out looking terrified.  If anyone thinks this is good enough and Howe shouldn't be under pressure they're mental.

It’s because opposition managers make tactical changes at half time and it totally exposes Howe’s limitations. It’s not a fluke or accident, it’s clear as day and has been there throughout his time with us and during the rest of his career, both good times and bad.

It’ll take him being named in The Epstein files or something for me to ever get on-board the Howe out train but holyyyy fuck, this was shocking.

Just lost control of that second half completely. Much like many times this season.

To get doubled down by them is a disgrace.

How many times have we done it this season - we totally lose the fkn plot - concede the same soft goals week in week out

Constantly drop the defensive line - always get played through - always 2nd to react

Thought we were Newcastle United FC not Eddie Howe FC. There’s been no signs of anything improving for fucking ages. It’s sad, he’s been class for us, but the future isn’t bright at all.

While Howe is here he's Newcastle United. And no I wouldn't agree with that, we've had a shit season, punctuated by that shit today, but there are far too many mitigating circumstances for me to blame Howe. He's took a major, major blow today though.

Been mostly meh this season - that for me was enough. Have no confidence in him getting this summer right, have no confidence in him being able to turn it around.

Him and his nephew have set us back years with the summer signings.

Have even less confidence in those above him to get it right if he does get replaced.

We need a complete change of philosophy to how we play.

You cannot keep playing this flat midfield 3, blind pressing, poor in possession and just generally have no control to our game ever. I really didn’t think that Bruno was that important to everything that we do, but he really is the heartbeat of it all

A cup winning manager. With the 8th biggest budget in the league.

Disgraceful performance today but the manager is the least of our issues.  A big rebuild needed.

He is the one who created all the other issues, he said a few weeks back its on him to make it right and he proceeded to embaress us.

Maybe his pals and sycophants in the press conference might grow some fucking bollocks and actually grill this man for once.  Absolutely shocking stuff in a season full of shit performances.  Zero excuses not to turn up again - fuck knows what he says to these players at HT.  We look uncoached and utterly disjointed - and worse than that unmotivated.  I hope he has a better plan for next season than spunking even more money on a bunch of athletes - and I’m really starting to think he shouldn’t be here next season at all.  Raging.

He’s absolutely done now.

We aren’t getting Europe and we aren’t going down so the club now have two months to get a top class replacement lined up.

Absolute crossroads moment for the club. Fuck this up and it could set us back for years.
