The boos around the place when everyone saw Woltemade stripped off after it went 2-1. He doesn't help himself at times, Wor Eddie.

Woltemade for Barnes and Osula shuffling out wide was the play there, surely?

I think it would’ve been better for Eddie just to keep Woltemade off TBH. Looked really bad.

It's a much harder task to replace a team than a manager, but I'd love management/owners to double down on Howe and go for a mass exodus of players and give Howe the chance to build a new team. Lock down Burn, Schar (both won't fetch a meaningful fee anyway due to age, and both are great leaders), Botman, Thiaw, Hall, Bruno and Miley as do not sell. Let anyone else who wants to leave that we get a fair offer for leave.

Those defenders you list give goals away for fun this season.

So the manager has no responsibility for the results in the pitch?

Every season players have improved under Howe - who has improved under him this season?

Osula. And probably Ramsey after a low-ish starting bar. The rest are either the same or worse, mainly worse.

I hope he doesn't but I still think he needs to be given a proper pre-season to sort it out.

The problem is if there’s no sign of improvement in the first few games of next season then things could get ugly pretty quickly. It’s not good going into a season with a question mark on the manager.

What if losing all the remaining games sees us relegated? Unlikely but not impossible?

not mathematically impossible but it would require multiple teams under us to go on runs of form that, given their position in the table right now, they're clearly not capable of

Two of the relegation candidates play us though, so there's 3 points each for a start.

The way he has handled the Woltemade situation, chasing Elanga for 2 years, spending £45M on Jacob Ramsey. Wissa.

Losing the derby, with two gutless performances. Twice.

He's had an awful season.

Good players stay good players. Shit players are ultimately shit players. All this talk of improving players is overblown IMO.

I can’t cope with the fact that our right wing is tragic every single game no matter who plays there. There is a major issue with the quality there. Our left wing isn’t dramatically better, with Barnes going through an awful spell of form and Gordon having given up and decided when he wants to actually play to a decent level.

We look fucking clueless going forward and we concede messy goals with teams scoring inside four yards of our goal all the time. It’s dire and I do hold Howe partly responsible for that but I think there are lots of other reasons that include the sporting structure behind him during his time here, as well as the transfers last summer (Howe gets something of a pass here due to the disgraceful behind-the-scenes mess from PIF). I also think we don’t have the depth of squad to cope with playing on four fronts. This is down to financial regulations but also Howe not trusting players on the fringes of the first 11 (sometime justifiably, sometimes not).

Howe clearly needs a lot of time on the training pitch and huge buy-in from the players. That buy-in has gone and I’m massively fucked off with the team for that. Howe deserved better but he’s not remotely blameless.

I still back him but I fucking hate watching us and he has to make some changes to how he uses the squad and he needs to be a peripheral figure involved in the summer transfer window

I'm disappointed and very frustrated with the players too, but surely a few players out of form and that happens anywhere at any club with any manager... But when the whole side looks completely devoid of confidence, ideas, structure, identity then surely you look to the manager and the coaches, there seems to be comments here that suggest that most of the players should go (mainly ones he signed) but Howe is fine and somewhat blameless.

This is when it feels like Eddie Howe F.C to me.

Caught a train to Berwick today. We went to the Milecastle beforehand. Got chatting to a couple of Bournemouth fans on the next table. One of them wasn't aware that they'd already replaced Iraola  but they were were both adamant they wouldn't want Howe anywhere near it and both mentioned his last season there which eerily sounded like what we're currently watching.

One of them made a great point mind. Iroala couldn't have done what Howe did to get them to the PL but Howe couldn't do what Iraola is doing now. They were gutted to be losing him.

This.

So sad to see this state of affairs, but absolutely nobody should be laying the blame at Eddie's door. At every corner when we had a chance to push on, he's been let down. And now, unfortunately, he's being let down by the shower of shit on the pitch who are looking over their shoulders at the Isak shit show and thinking 'great, there's our roadmap for an out'.

All of this also isn't taking into account that fucking shit stain on football that the likes of the cartel 6 are. If putting a cap on competition wasn't enough, the extent to which they - and their client hour is - have the capacity to destablise competitors is fucking astounding.

If the players aren't playing for him, that reflects on the manager as well ultimately.

Lost spectacularly the last two weeks on a single front with the most rest these players have had all season.

Aye, I think that’s indicative of the players not backing him sadly

Awful once again. If this is him wanting to make a stake for keeping his job then he may as well walk tonight.

Pathetic in every sense of the word. Yet again.
