WHAT?

Dalglish finished 2nd with Keegan's team, dismantled it and had us 13th in his first season.

Souness was appointed in September, four or five games into the season and took us from 5th to 11th/12th IIRC.

Terrible examples. 🤣

13th, a cup final and a great Champions League night after being forced to sell Ferdinand and then losing the best striker in the world.

And yes he was beyond shite I totally agree, I'm being deliberately provocative as I know it will get people wound up and I'm bored 😂

I thought we played and set up really well today. Better finishing and that’s a draw or a win.

Can’t have too many complaints really.

Looking at our form too, of all the losses since the start of the year, only two of them have been by more than one goal. That says to me that we’re not a million miles away… poor season, yes… diabolical team, nope.

Please give me an example of where NUFC have replaced a successful manager with someone better.

Newcastle have never been owned by a Saudi state.

also what do you want to do just stay with Howe forever because he brought us our first trophy in years.
that’s how you are never successful

Before this season 50% win rate in the Premier League.

Based upon 4 seasons worth of fixtures.  That's

The previous seasons pretty much mean nothing if he gets us relegated or very close to it especially after spending 1/4 of a billion quid, he’s been completely found out this season and is either incapable or unwilling to change or adapt.

If you're that age, then you should know your history then.

When has it worked out previously?

Whats that got to do with anything.

Our current owners have made 1 x manager appointment and got it spot on.

I agree.

Our situation is much more nuanced than it being just solely down to the manager.  Some of our fanbase would have ran Pep out of City last season by some of these takes.

It’s been fine margins. We haven’t been slapped, we just seem to get sucker punched.

For some reason we never seem to be on the right end of those fine margins.

With a decent front three we win today.

And we would have won many more of the 2026 games in which we have squandered leads.

It's very fine margins.

I'm just talking about our history, which I know about.

As the Saudi State have never owned a football club, this would be a massive step into the unknown......it could be better, but could be a whole, whole lot worse, agreed?

As long as you're happy with some culpability if it all goes spectacularly wrong?

How can this not be sackable to some fans, fans hounded other managers out for less, if this was Bruce or Pardew there would be riots outside the stadium. Sentiment gets you absolutely nowhere.

We were down after 10 mins and had 80 mins to chase a goal. There is plenty room to complain when we created so little in our attempt.

Not his fault; it’s PIF and the managements problem that couldn’t give him a good enough squad.

I assume this is sarcasm because we saw his 55 million quid signing blast over the potential equaliser.

What’s my join date got to do with it? I’m a fan like everyone else, and there’s no getting away from the fact that us fans have turned on managers for far less.

Aye it's mad that fans wanted rid of two of the worst people ever associated with the club over the most successful manager in our lifetime.

🤣🤣🤣 This is exactly the sort of short term nonsense I'm referring to.

Anybody who thought Souness was a better fit for NUFC than Robson at that point, please put your hand up? There were thousands to be fair, not that they'll admit it.

There’s the late win against Leeds, FA Cup win over Villa, Chelsea earlier this year, Man U win with 10 men. It’s been a rough couple months and I suspect a lot of our players have their eye on the World Cup.

I wrote the season off pretty much first game in, I knew this would happen.
