If there’s truth to these rumours of offering out multiple players it’s going to take Howe’s amazing communication skills and character to keep the team feeling connected

It's one of those times I'm really missing him myself

Probably come out he’s taking the England job later on, just to top of an excellent day.

I suspect that Eddie won't be overly pleased at having to sell Anderson.

We need to back him heavily in this window.

He should be pleased. Especially if it means a new CM of better quality.

I think Howe is ambitious enough to be ok with it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t sign a new CM, Harrison or White will fill his place.

He might have like to keep him, but we signed Bruno for 36 mil, and have just got 1 mil less for our 7th choice.

If they want to replace, that replacement will be miles better, but I'm assuming they'll promote a youngster (not Miley) to 7th spot instead

If we have the capacity under FFP to back him heavily, we won’t be doing these deals

As I posted in other thread, this pain is partially due to last season's underperformance and we won't want to go through it again, I suspect first half this season he will be as vulnerable in his position as he ever will be. We start poorly, more bad luck think he'll get the boot because we cannot afford to not finish top 4 again.

I'll admit i'm a bit concerned about an approach from the FA. Hopefully his sheer addiction to football and coaching means he'd turn it down but your country is your country,

I think he'd love the job, but am hoping he still feels it's too early. They'll definitely be asking the question though.

That’s nonsense.

I'm less worried about Eddie wanting to take the England job right now as I am our ownership potentially pushing him out to hire an "upgrade"

Not saying our ownership want rid of Howe. I don't think they do. I just think there is less chance of Eddie wanting to take the job right now (I think he will want to stay) than the club seeing the likely sizeable compensation figures and thinking it's maybe an opportunity to make money and bring in a "next level manager" and encourage him to leave.

If I was England, I'd offer him 20m a year.

Thankfully they are idiots and will likely hire another happy clapping insider.

It's surely going to be Graham Potter?
