Yes for different reasons Woltemade and Wissa probably aren’t good enough really.

Woltemade is definitely good enough. Wissa isn’t. I do think Wolte needs a lot of work in the striker role but he can be a striker as well as a 10, even though he’s a much more natural 10

We wouldn't have scored even if there was another 90 minutes to play.

Woltemade looks miles off it, is it fatigue? Confidence? No idea.

Gordon is basically a guaranteed starter no matter how he plays

Our best inform  winger is being played out of position

Tonali has been running on empty for a period

We still have Trippier starting games for us in 2026

This doesn't make me or anyone here a bedwetter - these are honest points of concerns

Woltemade isn’t a 9 for starters, fuck nahs why they are continuing trying to shoehorn him leading the line

My biggest concern is you could say that about too many games this season:

Wolves

Man Utd

Sunderland

Leeds

Bournemouth

Just off the top of my head.

With what time though. Players are shagged and we need to prioritise recovery.

No we should have prioritised competitions

Try to do this in 4 competitions was a foolish idea.

Two wins away from home so far and basically every away game has been a gutless shit show.

Wouldn't say I'm Eddie out as we did win 3 in a row in the league and we are sat 8th and could of been 5th if we won BUT the football has been shite for a long time and we lack any creativity, playing alright at home can only get you so far when any game away we play shite.

Deserves to end of season and see where we are but a massive overhaul is needed, spent so much money on wingers and we still not better off in that department.

Eddie will come out and say there was positive signs and we didn't play that bad when it's obvious for everyone to see that all the players looked half arsed

I don’t think today was anywhere near as bad as is being made out like, but the one major criticism I’d have of Eddie is his reluctance to play Wissa and Woltemade together. Neither look capable of playing up front alone and both have never done it before. Wissa always had a 10 behind him when he played up front for Brentford and Woltemade always had a strike partner to do the running that he can’t do.

We were dominating he ball and Wolves aren’t threatening at all, second half seemed the perfect time to do it.

I can understand not playing them together regularly seeing as they're supposed to be #1 and #2 CF but it could at least be an option?

If not, let Bruno play #10 with Miley and Tonali behind him.

I really hope that some of the abject performances this season have got Howe planning an overhaul in the summer. We have gone stale and been found out a canny bit.

Would happily see the back of some of the players that played today with a view of freshening things up and developing the way we play.

It feels like some could use a change of scenery that’s beneficial for them and the club.

Hate that we have to have a transition season like this, rather than growing and establishing ourselves more on all fronts.

We unfortunately can’t buy our success like others can.

The reality is very simple.

This is a team that has been constructed from the very beginning to be a high intensity, fast, physical, pressing team thats creates chances through those avenues.

For whatever reason, we've decided we want to be more of a possession/build team this season, and the players are understandably struggling.

The question I cant wrap my head around, if this was the plan, why didn't we sign the players to help us evolve into that style in the summer?

A creative midfielder? A  technical winger who can actually take on a man and breakdown a defense when they sit back?

Doesn't make sense

3 points off a CL next stage, 3 points off a Top 4 in the premier league… carabao semi final and not out the FA Cup yet… ok it wasn’t great today and it’s been tough recently… yes, we know we need a couple of quality players to improve the squad but it’s obviously not easy for teams like us with all the shite rules etc..

in Eddie we trust eh… doesn’t take long for some to turn some does it…

We could sign those right now.

But we don't seem interested.

We need some fresh bodies this Jan.

Because of injuries and the disjointed nature of the season (Woltemade coming in late and Wissa immediately being injured). Throw in the game every 3 days schedule.

I really think we need to evolve our strategy in game, maybe an extra midfielder now and again as the last few weeks  we really seem to be open right through the middle as games go on, plus a midfielder arriving late could be the key to unlocking the low block.

Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Villa seem to manage 3 games a week - so why can't we? Same thing happened last time we were in the CL too.

There's a difference between turning and criticism.

Unless he miraculously sorts out the pathetic away showings. I don’t see how we finish in the European places and I think it will cost him his job.

He has found a way and proved me and so many others wrong numerous times. But that away performance is like deja vu. It’s been similar for long spells for every away game bar Everton.

Nice to see the usual level headed replies after a disappointing result.

Whilst I agree questioning of Howe’s position as manager right now is daft, it isn’t just one disappointing result tbf. We’ve been hopeless away from home all season and often don’t test opposition keepers. Even against some absolute garbage.

Lack of squad depth and injuries all seem to be clustered round similar positions.

One thing is for sure, we can't play high intensity football 3 games a week. Or if we want to do that then we need to rotate a lot more ruthlessly.
