After getting promoted? Honestly, I'm not sure how Eddie Howe doing a good job now means Rafa did a bad job. The two scenarios aren't even comparable. It was beautiful to see. There is no way Lascelles is getting back in ahead of either of those two (if they are fit) We can see what he’s doing. He’s bit by bit improving the process.. now with this new foundation to build from at the back, we need to work on quicker transitions through the midfield. That’s where Bruno will come in when the manager thinks the time is right. And when Wilson is back.. (or someone new in the summer) it will change things again as there’s no way teams we’re playing against can play a high line or we’ll be in on them repeatedly. Which were to Chelsea, Arsenal, Leicester, Liverpool and Man City. Only the Chelsea and Man City losses were at SJP and Chelsea was pre Howe. 54 Posted February 19, 2022 Share Posted February 19, 2022 Biggest thing I've noticed over the last few games is that, while I'm slightly nervous, I'm not a wreck, and infarct comfortable in the knowledge that at the very least we'll be competitive, and the players will put in a shift, hell even when we go behind I don't immediately think it's game over. Its took a while but i think he now knows who he can reply on - who can be trusted and who will be in next seasons squad from the current bunch. I deffo think were safe though Im sure there will be some blips between now and the end of the season. And im fascinated as to how hes gonna fit Bruno into our midfield. We looked absolutely doomed and the squad looked utterly disinterested. Everything pointed to 2009 and 2016 all over again. They’re clearly listening and responding to what he’s trying to do. We aren't there yet but what a job Howe and co. Have done so far. Incredible turn around in mentality and how players look. We have likeable people that give everything for the shirt right now.
