Mitrovic fee: Instalments

A few have asked why Mitrovic’s £22million fee - eye-watering as it is - won’t enable NUFC to make big money moves of their own. Well it is anticipated that the fee will be paid in instalments, just like Moussa Sissoko’s was.

Benitez, it is understood, is resigned to the fact that he won’t see all of that money in this transfer window.

So under the “every penny generated” rule, United won’t have that £22million to spend. More’s the pity.

This is beyond laughable, such a piss take. Conveniently even though Sissoko was mentioned above there was no mention of the installment we'll be due for him and Wijnaldum.

We're the only club that operates in such a shitehouse manner.

Our penny pinching aside, and I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'd be happy to see Dummett given a crack as our starting fullback this season. I think he's earned it.

Goes without saying that we need competition.

Surely we could buy new players and pay in the same way  So there 'should' be 22m available. Fucking shitcunt!

Exactly, just buy a player offering instalments that run in parallel if we have to. Ashley's depths of a being a cunt knows no bounds.

New TV money, new sponsorship money, new season ticket money, new merchandise money, ongoing instalments from previous big sales, 10 senior players off the wage bill - some sold for very significant fees - and we’re still pleading poverty

Journos just lapping it up too, the absolute cunts.

We made a lost of £1.9bn getting relegated though, remember. Relegation which wasn't our fault. Init.

Why aren't the journalists asking where the money is from the likes of Sissoko and Winnie deals ? I hold them in the same disregard as Ashley for the sheer complacency and blinked reporting.

Complicit in every  level of deceit. Even Douglas fails to point out the obvious.

Even taking it at face value, it's not even a fucking explanation and Douglas should be going to town on them. If you know the money is definitely coming in and you have it freed up to spend in advance of all installments then you don't fucking budget until it's all in when you desperately need players now.

Why can't we sign players and pay in installments? Spend 20m and pay them using Mitrovic's incoming installments?

The club hierarchy need to be challenged on this.

Just watch this space. Fulham might look make another big splash in the market now (20m+, paid upfront), because we've provided them with some room to manoever during this transfer window.

Had a feeling an installment arrangement (for Mitro's fee) was in the works, when Fulham reportedly were chasing Malcom too.

....... meanwhile Rafa will be digging through the bargain bin, with the ££££ from the 1st instalment. We are the consumate professionals at not being able to compete, by design.

We all said this years ago when Shay Given was flogged to Man City for 6 million or something and we allowed them to pay the fee in installements.  The Llambias would come and talk about buying players out right, it absolutely cripples us as we have to wait a few seasons/ years for that money to build up in the account.

If AShley would use an overdraft it might solve the issue but I remember Llambias talking about not using one.  :undecided:

Rafa Benitez still wants to add FOUR new players to his squad before deadline day.

It is understood that the Newcastle United boss has made his concerns crystal clear to managing director Lee Charnley after handing a wanted list to the hierarchy in the last few days.

Benitez immediately flagged up that a new centre-back was needed following the injury to Florian Lejeune while his wish-list also contained left-back targets - including Ajax’s Nicolas Tagliafico - and both a striker and a new number 10.

However, Benitez has been told he must continue to cut his cloth accordingly and that only a limited spending pot is available during the rest of the window.

Will be a fucking horrible window as usual. No papering over the cracks that the players signed are not the kind of players to push us on. Burn it all to the ground.

That last sentence is written the wrong way around [emoji38]
