It has emerged Liverpool's Danny Ings is back on the agenda along with West Brom's Salomon Rondon. Ings is interested in heading to Tyneside and a season-long loan with a view to a £15m permanent switch if top-flight survival is secured is being discussed.

We hoping the FA won’t notice the 3rd loan like?

No more new players will come in - then it will be the usual 'we tried' line, before KO v Spurs.

Problem is, the person delivering the message is saying we’re not trying. Which we all know is true. They have no excuse this time.

They'll still use it, though.

The gullible will still believe it, because they've been conditioned to.

Under the rules in the Premier League Handbook 2017/18 (Download PDF, size: 46.1MB), there are restrictions on how many players Premier League clubs can loan from other Premier League/English clubs.

They are:

- Premier League clubs may not register more than two players on loan at any one time.

- The maximum number of loans registrable in the same season is four, and, under no circumstances, shall more than one be from the same club at any one time.

2 from English clubs, 4 total.  So Rondon would be the 2nd, N'Soki (just can't see PSG sell him yet) would be allowed as the 3rd and non-English

If you can only register two players on loan at any one time how would we register N'Soki after Rondon? (Or does he not count, as an U21?)

Loans between Premier Leage clubs and other English counterparts are officially called temporary transfers.

- Premier League clubs cannot loan to another Premier League club a player they have acquired in the same transfer window.

- A Premier League club may loan not more than one of its goalkeepers to another Premier League club

With the exception of Welsh clubs competing in the competitions listed under Rule V.6.2, loans from a club in membership of another National Association do not count towards the above quotas.
