Guest chopey
Any new puppet manager will find there are a lot of very average players at the club filling squad places and he will find to his cost that Rafas greatest achievement at Newcastle was papering over the cracks with bog roll. Guest chopey
Daily Star reporting that once Hayden goes the new manager will have £100 million to spend, its just unfortunate that he will get employed a few days before the window closes and won't be able to get any deals over the line and what's the point spending in January if you are already relegated? May as well keep the cash for the promotion charge.
nufc4eva
100 million to get a Striker, 2 or 3 centre midfielders, a fullback, a winger and attacking mid in 3-4 weeks and they would have to gel, not a chance. Not even sure what players you get for that money unless you unearth some gems.
La Parka
It's alright at least we've got the star studded and highly rated academy to fall back on.

Not even sure what players you get for that money unless you unearth some gems. I see you have forgotten to account for wages and agents fees. Say, 7 players for £100m = £14.3m each (so perhaps £8m transfer fee, £3m agents fee, £3.3m in wages). TBG
I mean I know why, but I'd love to know why the Daily Star fail to mention that the same is said every window, yet we end up haggling and pulling out of loan deals over a million or two.
Dokko
£100m wouldn't even cover the players we've lost since last season.
nufc4eva
£100m wouldn't even cover the players we've lost since last season. Well I guess it would get us Rondon and Diame but can't coz they are so ancient. I mean we bought Hayden for nothing and he will go for £15 million, only came good last half of season and could probably replace that. The main thing is we have no time, no manager and players won't know each other. We will get 2-3 max through the door, another 2-3 sold, no better off probably worse and the rest of the money will disappear by January

LoveItIfWeBeatU
Ashley could very well cash in on players while their stock is high. NUFC will probably crash to relegation (it's a bonus for Ashley if NUFC don't get relegated) but will still get the £100m+ TV money. He'll then spend £50m to guarantee* promotion back to the Premiership. Also gets the parachute payments. This is his model for NUFC. *Promotion is far from guaranteed using this method. Ashley will think as it has worked twice he'll gamble it will happen a third time.

khay
I wouldn't put it past us to sign no one this summer We'll get two in on loan, due to takeover and manager uncertainty. And sign two young players one a striker and the other a left back from the championship and send them straight back on loan.

Wallace
Even if we buy players, there is no guarantee they are going to make an immediate impact especially if they are foreign. They might need a season to adjust.
