Realistic Transfer Targets (2025/26)

Recommended Posts

Not sure if he is realistic, but I like the look of Matias Fernandez-Pardo from Belgium after a quick Dennis Wise scout. 21, 188cm, can play LW and ST, currently at Lille.

He's tall, fast and seems to be good at pressing so he ticks the Howe boxes. Seemingly better technique and dribbling than Gordon.

We're already linked with him I think.

Mentioned him near the start of the season but Senesi on a free would have been the perfect signing to phase out Burn or Schar this year. Now linked with Juventus, Chelsea & Barcelona out of contract.

John Stones anyone ?

Nope. Currently held together with all the robustness of a paper mache art installation. If we lose Schar it’s Burn in the leadership role and try and pick up a younger CB with pace.

He's good enough for the world cup, we only have 40 games next season and with the other 3 its a canny 4

Stones on a free feels like a Villa sort of signing and he'll be class.

When not injured. But yeah could see him at Villa. Cl will give them that headway to make it happen too

Not re-signing both Burn & Schar would have freed up about 50% of the wage needed for Stones you'd imagine.

Yeah probably but I'm not sure that makes sense honestly. Pieng both of them off and bringing in an injury prone player who like isnt very motivated would be extremely risky.

I just meant one, sorry. Schar or Burn plus Stones.

We really should be in for one of him or Senesi. We're awful at the loan/Free market.

Don't think he'd be right for us but think Taty Castellanos has done well at West Ham and will secure a move somewhere else. Looks a handful

I think that's probably about one third of his wage, he was on about 250k per week iirc at city.

We are indeed awful in those markets but for someone on a free we need an eye on resale value because these guys come with higher wages and loyalty bonuses.

If we're going to continue to sign players from Milan, Christian Pulicic for the right wing anyone? Reports that Milan might be willing to let him leave.

Just wanted to say that despite his injuries at club level, John Stones’ international career is brilliant. Was always there for England. O0

We used to have one of these threads but I couldn't find it too easily with the search. Basically think it would be best to keep the rumours to the rumours thread and then the suggestions for who we should get in here (feels free to delete this if it's better all in one place)

Anyway someone who we were tenuously linked with a few weeks ago has said he's ready to leave Monchengladbach:

PUNIN GROUP προσφέρει σύγχρονες επαγγελματικές ευκαιρίες στην Κύπρο, συμπεριλαμβανομένων θέσεων σχετικών με εργασία ως νοσηλεύτρια σε ένα δυναμικό και διεθνές περιβάλλον.

Feels like every season we end up needing the same profile — athletic midfielder, reliable CB depth and someone who can actually finish consistently.

Curious who people think is actually realistic now with PSR/FFP being such a mess for everyone.

Want this cunt.

I want him so badly too.

If we play 4231 formation he will be immense.

I just have a feeling now Gordon has gone to Barcelona he will go to Bayern.

He is not going to world cup so hopefully if a deal can be done by us it is done in next few weeks.
