We've got absolutely no chance

Linked with Barca, the Cartel and PSG. So far from realistic it’s laughable.

Dayyan Methaelie - Tiago Gabriel - Kevin Danios

3 really good and cheap prospects - supplement with 4 senior signings

All three heavily linked at various stages.

Strange commentary on Kroupi here.

There aren't too many big clubs who are after a striker and from what I've read these clubs were already after him before he chose Bournemouth to further his development.

By all accounts he's very pragmatic and still young enough to want a step up before seeking out a major club - he's still only 19.

Regardless of whether you think he's realistic, the likelihood is we'll still be shopping in the same pool as these clubs anyway.

Not sure if you've been paying attention but young players who come into the league and become "premier league proven" are extremely expensive.

I don't think we're going to fully pivot away from signing Premier league players and do all our business exclusively outside of it, so expense will always be a factor they'll account for.

Are we saying we'll never sign a prem league player again? Because outside free transfers, the standard we're requiring will always come with a significant premium.

I don't think we will be in a position to pay premiums for players like Kroupi this summer no. we will still need premier league experience but likely as squad fillers at a lower price point.

What we have been doing isn't sustainable and it's why we let Anderson go for 15m and had to sell our stadium to ourselves.

With SCR premier league proven is more expensive due to the inflated market for both fees and wages.

You’re completely right in that we’ll still continue to sign some PL players, and probably this summer, but with a reported valuation of £80m, it won’t be Kroupi.

Kroupi is multi club ownership working well. Transferred to Bournemouth for less than he was worth and will be flipped for an absolute fortune.

Multi club if done properly is very powerful and has practically unlimited upside.

Ok, sure many will disagree and not sure if he’s already sorted a move away ie to Everton but I’d go out and get John Stones for nowt…

He’d bring leadership qualities which is evidently lacking and would be the ideal centre back partner to actually develop Thiaw or Botman, not just play alongside.. A very good player with vast amounts of experience who can lead the back line… which would also be great for Hall and Tino (should he stay). The lack of European matches he would be asked to play would also be helpful…

Think he’s 31, so at least 3 years playing at a high level… I understand he probably doesn’t fit the model age wise but it’s a position where experience and quality is vital… and may, just may help not concede as many last minute goals next season…

He’ll be off to a slower paced league that will hopefully allow him to manage his body better.
