I don't mean this as a troll or insult but if I had to choose between what you'd do and what the medical staff has deemed the correct path I know what I'd choose. I do agree he is important so I hope they get it right. The original injury was a combination of Sven wanting to play and differing doctor's opinions.

In fairness they were the ones who rushed him back last time and now he’s been out for over a year as a result

Missed my point. From what we heard, the player was agitating to play and you can't force a player to have surgery. I wouldn't want to live in a world where you could.

You can sit him anyway but with different doctors opinions including Botman's doctors own second opinion, again, as I recall, it wasn't just Newcastle doctors fucking it up. They sit him despite his medical report he brings, sounds like a very unsettled player.

 

All that is based on reports of course. I never examined his knee. :D
