I watched from behind a chair through my hands when he took the pen. Amorim style. The spin on the ball from it being delivered with the outside of the boot absolutely fundamental to it going in - it spins and curls off Joelinton’s head

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a player in B&W with that sort of mentality to that degree. The commentator mentioned that he's been here 4 years. We want him here for the next 4 as well. Moose
Bruno, I love you to pieces, you're a bonafide club legend, one the greatest I've ever seen wear the black and white and a damn good captain too. But can you please please please knock it off with that gimpy run up, it gives me the fear man!
nemtizz
Mad thing is I still think he can go up a level with the right profile of CM playing behind him. He’s wasted running back to goal. Never seen a player put the entire team on his back as much as he does. Unmatched spirit.

It was his poor pass that lead to Miley having to chase to keep the ball in. But then when he got it back I said "have another go Bruno" Then he produced that. He remains our one true source of creativity. The whole attack seems to run through him, god knows what we would do without him honestly.

It’s an ‘elite’ player mentality the lad has.
Kanj
Second half you could hear him shouting for the ball to do something. He’s just truly remarkable. Inspirational. My favorite ever player I think. I can’t stress enough how much I love him and what he gives for his manager, his teammates, the club and us the fans near and far.

The College Dropout
Such a mentality monster. He’s been Stevie G’ing us all season. From today im calling it the Bruno G. Either all action dragging the team through it. Or coming up clutch when it matters. Sometimes both.

You know what makes a world class player? One who can literally will his team to a result. Done it again tonight for us.
Ellis H
.com has his contract up in 2028. If we get Champions League this year we should offer him a massive, lengthy contract to keep him here. He's 28 so it's probably one big move soon or stay till he's finished.

kenlau88210
He has been carrying us big time lately. Over the last 8 to 10 games or so, he has been consistently good in general play, and his goal contributions have been fantastic. Long may it continue. It’s going back a few years, but Juninho really did have the same connection to the Smoggies - and that lad was genuine (WC-winning) class. Brazilians, despite the whole ‘playing football on the beach’ stereotype, really seem to ‘get’ the NE in terms of living and breathing football. Maybe that shouldn’t be surprising, tbh edit: same applies to Joelinton, though of course big Jow isn’t up there with Bruno technically. This club is one of those clubs - along with Spurs - where the FA Cup is what we’re built on. I’ve spent two and a half decades watching the oldest (and greatest) football tournament in the world being shat on - I don’t want us to be party to it. It’s not that don’t get where you’re coming from - I just can’t countenance it
alexf
It's a tricky one. Something's got to give as the squad can't cope with so many games. But we could be effectively out of both domestic cups in the space of a few days if not careful. But do you go all in on the fa cup with shit ton of rounds still to play or do you focus on the league cup again where we likely have to beat Man City twice and then probably Arsenal if we reach the final? Be lovely to do both but I suspect most the players that played tonight are knackered and I don't see a heavily rotated squad beating Bournemouth unless they rotate loads too.
