Doesn't really bear thinking about how we'll cope if he's got a long lay-off. He's easily out most important player this decade.

FYP.

I think this could be a blessing in disguise bruno is always an ever present. This might get the lad a few games rest.

Well - I think we need him for Villa and PSG. Hopefully it's nothing serious but he looked gutted when he was getting treatment.

Had the radio on last night on the way home and Pat Nevin (yes I know) seemed to be suggesting he thought Bruno hasn't looked right for a while, despite playing well.  Praised him for playing through the injury if that was the case and said a rest might help.  He was also waxing lyrical about Miley, so it's not like he doesn't pay attention when he watches us

Not so sure on that myself, can't say I've noticed him being less mobile or seeming hobbled.  But when he took his boot off, he did look like maybe he had it slightly wrapped?  Could just be those grip socks they wear when they cut the bottoms off their football socks and them being quite padded.  I know he did his ankle quite badly a few seasons ago.  I want to say a shit game against Fulham?  I don't think he missed many games if at all and that seemed far worse at the time from memory?

Not sure if it was the same ankle.  But they're always a bastad when they've been sprained or worse and seem susceptible to going again.

I got the same feeling tbh. He didn’t look comfort for a while.

Probably this rest is a long-due one. Ramsay gotta step up

Looked a bad one as you know Bruno doesn't stay down or come off unless it's bad. Was worried he had broken a bone or something in his foot the way he was holding it.

Fingers crossed as we need him, especially over the coming weeks.

Only silver lining I would say is that Joelinton and Tonali seemed to raise their games when he went off and perhaps the increased responsibility will help them perform even better. Certain seemed like the old Tonali was back last night. Plus Miley is putting in great performances recently and assume will be the one to slot in.

Although he's a better option at RB than Trippier for me currently also.

It’s not a ‘really serious’ one if he was able to get up and put his boot back on and jog a bit. But obviously any amount of time out is a blow to us.

Downside to injury: Bruno not playing

Upside to injury: DJ Onedek can't do his megacringe Brooooonnnhhhohhhh.

Every cloud.

Onedek was loving life last night, you could almost hear him taking the big breath in before he gave it a bit extra on the last team announcement just before kick off

We really dont want him injured, I certaintly don't - he would be a massive miss.  However, I think as you say, it gives others a platform to step up - including Miley (and I think Ramsey as well), if he does miss a few games.  The guy needs a break, an incredible amount of football over the last few seasons.

Bad time for him to miss games with some major games coming up but Miley is a capable replacement. hopefully he'll be able to return soon for one of the upcoming games.

He is but miley is also meant to be trips cover as good as the lad is he can't play two positions at once.

If only the transfer window was open 🤔

Did Free from Desire get an airing?

Aye.  He was flexing his ankle and rolling it.  Just a sprained ankle, hopefully.  Not bad ligament damage or a broken bone like someone else seemed to be suggesting.  I can't see that at all.

I just checked when he last did his ankle.  When the way he went over arguably looked worse.  It was back in January 2022 against Fulham.  He was back the next week against Palace.

Fear not.  I reckon he'll be back for Liverpool.

No idea, needed a rare quick getaway so more or less as soon as the ref blew I was a goner. I'd stick all of my gambling winnings from last night's games on Yes though
