Seems that only the fact that his Football IQ is about a billion allows him to somehow have a few decent strikes, with what looks like awful technique. You scored a massive pen. He has no technique at all in most aspects of how he strikes a ball, whether it's shooting or passing and I think that's the biggest problem. Most of the time it doesn't matter because if it comes off no one notices but when it goes wrong it's so obvious. It goes even further than that actually, I remember a couple of years ago he spoke (or someone spoke about him) about receiving training on his running style to help him get around the pitch better. He's very unique in most of what he does and how he does it which is what makes him so special but also why he often looks ungainly/ awkward or like he's running through treacle.
