kingxlnc
If anyone was going to guess on a random Newcastle inclusion in the England squad, everyone would have said Murphy. At a push, Miley (if wanted to blood him around experienced players). Don't think anyone would have put money on Dan Burn - but he has genuinely been solid so it's well deserved. Makes me think Tuchel could be very refreshing, as a foreigner he's less naturally biased and exposed to the Southern media nonsense as much as an Englishman. Plus Tuchel has always thought highly of Newcastle as a club, even contemplating coming here before McClaren I believe? Or post Rafa, I forget which. TRon
Fucking hell, just seen this now, so pleased for him. What a shot in the arm right before a cup final! Fair play Tuchel, that is truly out of the box thinking.

Very impressive messages which made me very comfortable in this call-up that we will pick a top team players that will help us to build the right team." "Dan is maybe a little bit overlooked. A very impressive career, a very solid player. He plays regularly for Newcastle, for a Champions League club. He is a leader, he is a very solid defender. Very different path into the England squad but we are happy to have both of them (Burn and Lewis-Skelly). I am happy and excited to get to know them and hopefully they can prove us right." Happy for him as I said Ironically he probably wouldn’t have got the call up if he wasn’t playing at a consistently good level week in, week out. There is no negative here. The College Dropout
2 hours ago, mosstef said: Gibbs-White? Fair. Don’t see how you can have him and Rogers in the same team mind. England have a lot of attackers. Few proper midfielders.
McDog
Awesome to hear. Was not expecting to see this probably ever but as others have said it is richly deserved. Can't wait to see him play some international football.

Miercoles
2 hours ago, KaKa said: I mean ... this just isn't true though is it. He's not some ground breaking passer of the ball, but he is solid enough distributing the ball, and is comfortable on the ball too. Also, Tuchel doesn't play that progressive a style. He can actually be quite pragmatic with his setup. Aye that's the whole enigma with Burn, he's better with his feet than his head. Will deserved though, and as a neutral I see it as a good sign for England also. You guys have been dying for some call ups based on merit rather than legacy. Only left footed English centre back worth talking about as well which is obviously the difference maker. He can only pass with his left foot, and when not under pressure. Colwill is left footed ? I love the lad, but tells a lot about England squad
