Apparently he's in hospital - club have released a statement. Said to wor lass at the time that I reckon he'll have at least one bust rib - gonna be a spell on the sidelines i reckon.

Yeah didn’t look good. Hope for a good outcome and or a quick recovery.

You know more than our medical team  What were they playing it. It was obvious he was fucked.

I don't get how it's not a red. He's not got control of himself else he'd not have smashed into his chest, he got nowhere near the ball. Of course he has every right to try and challenge for the ball but once you slide in like that and get nowhere it, it should be a sending off imo.

Contact sport within the laws of the game aye, cretin.

Charming.

Used to like you as a poster OP but you're an obnoxious twat nowadays.

Both players committed early to the tackle and sliding for it, there's always going to be a collision if that happens.  If he had went in with his studs than it's a red.

Thought their player had every right to go for it tbh, if one of our players pulled out of that challenge I'd be annoyed. A yellow is fair as he was late, but I didn't think it was "nasty" unlike some of their other challenges, just an unfortunate collision.

Any normal striker sprints towards the ball and then jumps over the sliding defender if he's too late.

The striker slides in towards the ball and the defender even though he can already see he can't get to the ball before the defender.

To me, that's very reckless, but I suppose it happens in a derby.

Both players slide for the ball, yeap he's late but he does make sure he's not studs in etc.  the unfortunate part is where the contact is.

Except one player was sliding away from the other and one slid directly into the other and let his knee go hard into the other's ribs.

It was intentional and cowardly.

Only Brobbey (second yellow) should have been sent off. But doubt it would have made any difference.

The ref bottled that, looking straight at it about 5 yards away. "Managing the game" and keeping it 11 v 11 my arse
