Gotten rid of much of the dead wood in the squad. If it wasn't for the surströmming botherer and we eventually get a striker in to replace Wilson we'd be having an unreal window.

Keep seeing this sort of thing but it's not really true is it? 

 

We've bought some ok players but none of them are game changing and by all accounts weren't necessarily our first choices.

Plenty of backup at RB in a pinch if we moved Tino over with Krafth, Ashby (lol) and even Shahar coming in. Leaves us massively lacking in centre midfield now though.

We've raised the floor of the squad; finally got a CB with youth on his side and pace. Replaced Longstaff with Ramsey. Replaced Almiron with Elanga who is also an upgrade on Murphy regardless of his numbers last season. Improved the GK department with Ramsdale.

 

Whilst we haven't been able to get first choice striker targets, that wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't for the Isak saga. We'd be after a lesser player than that to solely replace Wilson, which I said.

Was about to put something similar myself, we have absolutely got some game changers when you think about those games last season that went stale and we had nothing but dross to bring on.

We should have really stipulated it was "match highest wage at NUFC" that Ronaldo contract really killed our PSR.

I guess but tino isn't technically halls backup trips is tinos backup on the other side. Despite his form falling off a cliff since the loan was made permanent its another body lost if not replaced and a long season ahead.

We've got an abundance of RB options to allow us to move Tino over to the left, Tripps has played left plenty of times in a pinch and we even have BDB if the worst comes to the worst. Its not a dire need for this window.

Bodies possibly. Players I want getting meaningful minutes less so. 

 

Saying that not exactly going to miss any "qualities" targett would have brought by staying.

If we haven't triggered an option ala longstaff he's contract expires next june so we won't get a fee just get his wage or some of it off the books.

We've done great at getting players out so fair play to the team for that. They're fucking shit at signing strikers though
