There’s no reason to let him go.

...So long as he's happy with the situation he seems to be in. He doesn't seem to be complaining which is interesting in and of itself considering he quit Aston Villa in very similar circumstances. Don't know if that's because he's happier with life in general here or because his circumstances have changed physically-speaking.

I think he might want to go, he pushed to leave Villa as he didn’t want to be back up so I can see him doing the same now.

Villa had Squeaky G, we have Eddie. He may stay 1 more season, even as a bit part player. He’s on a good ride atm. What with all the growth at the cloob.

Because of what happened to a Jacob Murphy, seemingly nowhere near the 1st team and barely getting a look in, everyone and their dog hoping he gets offloaded, only for him to show and prove his value after a period training and application……I’m quite happy to see Targett stay and work hard to become a competitive member of the squad again.
If the management want to keep him, I think they’ve got a track record of being proved right.

Target on his way ?, should the hall transfer go ahead .

Only way i see Targett leaving is if we brought in Tierney or someone else on loan too. Cant see that happening. We have room in the squad to list him and he is a solid squad player to push Burn and Hall.

See where we’re at in January. If he’s still not getting a game and someone else needs a left back, he’d be a good option for them, same as he was for us. However if we’re tearing it up and still in 3/4 competitions I can’t see him leaving.

20m please.

6 months ago I'd have thought we'd have no problem getting £15m back for him, but he's not really looked the same player since his comeback from injury. Hopefully he just needs some game time.

Wonder if he pushes for a move.

If a club was offering a permanent move he might be justified, not sure what we gain from loaning him out at this age. Unless it's a sizeable loan fee and they'll pay all his wages.

Fair to say I've lost confidence in him mainly because it appears like the club have lost confidence in him - signing alternatives etc.

But he's starting today. Good luck Matty, I hope you smash it like you used to and put yourself back in the picture.
