If your toes don't dislocate themselves because of the amount of cringe in here then you need to have a word. Best fans in the world - officially voted for by... themselves. Can't get higher praise than that

Second comment tells you all you need to know.

Are these the same fans that Niall Quinn had to beg to stop watching match on dodgy streams and actually turn up to games, then hand out thousands of free tickets to local schools ?

He used the word DESPISE.When was the last team he paid to watch the sad mackem bastards? Since the SOS was built they’ve given thousands of tickets away.My mate was a teacher in Grangetown and chucked the free tickets away.

Was a piece in the Sunderland Echo that was featured in the Mag from a mackem complaining about how low the attendances were in their promotion season 95/96, saying they were lower than our gates under Ossie. They won the league and averaged 17,000. (1,000 more than our lowest ever average attendance)

When we got promoted every game was a sell-out and had to be made all-ticket because thousands were getting locked out. (SJP remained full for every league and FA Cup game for the rest of the decade until the extension, fickle as f*ck that)

Why do they start these attendance fights? Its like us saying we've won more than Man United.

Their away support is quality. Like we would, they could be in the 10th tier on a Tuesday night and they’d sell out.

Their self back slapping is fucking embarrassing though, particularly when they cry on about how NUFC fans are obsessed with attendances etc.

They haven't even sold out every away end this season and that's in the 2nd tier so I very much doubt that.

No offence mate but it’s fuckin bollocks to say their support is quality.

Season 2018/19.Walsall v SMB .948 away fans.

The season before Grimsby v SMB .3 away fans.

They're happy in the Championship because they know that if they come up, we'll utterly wallop them.

Given that their entire identity is around "beating the mags", the very best thing they can think to do is to hide away in the lower leagues and cling to being unbeaten against us in however long it is. It's literally all they've got left.

A story in 3 parts....from the group who do nothing but decry Wor Flags' Efforts:

Part 1: Hi everyone, looking for volunteers for tomorrows display. Remembrance day so super poignant....Lets go.

(Everyone stares at shoes, no-one replies. 3 hours pass)

Part 2: Hi again, our numbers have been halved after the NA_LY OU1NM shit show, so we'd love a chance to give it another go...anyone?

(2 people make their excuses....and up steps this hero:

Part 3: "I cant be there, but hopefully people get there, I know its a fans funded effort, but its a pity the club couldnt offer something to the volunteers, free pie and pint at the match?"

It really is hilarious how just utterly shit these clowns are at just everything they try. God love 'em.

I could just let them go, but then they'll come up with stuff like this unchallenged.

There's an irony in them flagging up certain occasions in that it highlights them as exceptional rather than something common place. (ourselves, Man U).

When they took 15k-200k (estimates vary) to Manchester City for a crucial game. The week before they got 22,000 at home to Arsenal. 22,000 was their average.

They took x amount to the league cup final (who doesn't) but had a half-empty stadium for the semi-final against Man United and a more than half empty 20,000 in the Quarter-Final against Chelsea. (Who else has ever done that?)

Before the 1992 FA Cup final that 40,000 plus came out the woodwork for, their last league gate was 19,000 and their next home gate was 16,000. The cup run started with a 15,000. They were mid-table, we were bottom. We got 26,000 the same round for a televised game against Bournemouth pre Keegan with hardly any Bournemouth fans.

28,000 against us in 92/93 was preceded and followed by 14,000 and 15,000 gates.

40,000 against us in 05/06 was preceded and followed by gates of 28,000 and 29,000.

15,000 for an FA Cup game at home to Arsenal in 96, the same night we had a 36,000 sell-out against Charlton

Its a cheek because along with Villa I consider them the most fickle fans in the country. (Villa would get 45k against Man U one week and 15k against Norwich the next back in the day).

The French wikipedia page on football, in the segment on fans, of all the clubs in the world they could pick from literally gives us an example of a club that enjoys great support despite a lack of success. "for example fans of Newcastle UFC in England"

They must have got it arse about tit compared to revered evidence base anecdotes of sad mackems bastards.
