He scored against England, so is immediately a top 6 player who they could sell for £60m+ next summer.

I'd bet that they're already telling themselves that we were after Diarra and he picked them

He only started 3 of Strasbourg's last 8 Ligue 1 games. I know that's not the be-all-and-end-all, but they'll do well to get their money back if they have the season everyone outside of Wearside thinks they're going to have.

They probably will until reality sets in and they start slating him as he isn't as good as they first thought.

Type of signing they need to make to have a chance, no point signing PL journeymen.

 

Looks like Leeds wanted him as well, bit of Dennis Wise scouting looks predominantly right sided, but looks to have physicality needed for Prem.

 

Going to go against the grain here and as much as I hate the bastards, think they look to have a good transfer policy for where they are at min.

Their business model is essentially a budget Brighton/Brentford. The fact that they have replaced Jobe with a player of similar age and profile shows they're not exactly idiots and not as much as a laughing stock as some suggest.
