I see they only had 735 for their women's match yesterday. I would imagine they will seriously consider not hosting games there (unless it's us), as I would imagine that would have been a fair (not massive I know) revenue loss.

It was the same last season. They play in Houghton-Le-Spring. It’s not all that easy to get too without a car, and is on the border with Durham. I’d say it’s possibly closer to Durham’s ground than it is to the SOL. For as long as they play there, they will never gain the numbers to indicate that they could achieve more numbers elsewhere.

The problem is that unlike Newcastle, there is a lack of non-league grounds in Sunderland. I’m surprised that they haven’t tried playing their games at either South Shields, or Hebburn, both of which are owned by Sunderland fans.

In saying this though, 735 is a lot more than who will go to watch most non-league games. It’s just that many WSL and WSL2 teams are now gaining massive numbers beyond that.

Match was at the stadium of light though, that's why I raised it

Was a great point. Going to need to find a way to break teams down and score though (not meaning to state the obvious) but seem to recall you didn’t score many last year, do you think you have added goals to the team with the signings made?

I don't think we are going to score a lot, but we definitely have goalscoring ability within the squad. I think our games will generally be quite tight with a goal either way deciding it, home form is key. I don't think we will get battered in many games as Le Bris system doesn't really allow that to happen (probs get walloped by Liverpool, Arsenal & City like many others)

Sundays a huge opportunity to get some more points on the board against a side so far massively underperforming.

Must admit I'm not really clued up on women's football so how does those numbers compare to what we get and are both us and them in the same league?

Aye we beat them twice including a record 38000 crowd last season. We had 2500 on Sunday at Gateshead

Fair enough. If you do get anything from Villa, underperforming version or not, I’ll begin to believe you’re in with a good shout of staying up.

So mass groups of season ticket holders sitting within the exact same areas of the ground can't go. Do they actually watch the physical evidence of a tv screen

Remember, they're great at bending the truth (talking shite).

From the Not606 forum from the legendary keyboard warrior Riever. You know the one who said he had proof Dell were taking over Sunderland and was then called out so much on RTG that he banished himself. A liar then and a liar now. I can't let the good folk on here (or some anyway) go without their mackem bullshit posts.

Champions League club under Ashley

So Ashley not only saved us but also got us in the Champions League.  And still no statue. Shameful.

They're fucking desperate [emoji38] As if one of the richest companies in the world didn't do due diligence.

£300 million for an entire football club in the Premier league, bunch of mugs those Saudis, Ashley had their eyes out.

(I bet the hilarious jeans wearing fucka cries himself to sleep every night with that deal)
