The times I've watched them they have been average to poor. I'm still puzzled as to how they have so many points. They definitely don't look like a good team.

Agree with all of that but if I supported them, god forbid, of course I'd be delighted with the way things have panned out, but being a pragmatist I'd be very concerned at how you can play sixteen consecutive games in which you are second best in all the major statistical metrics despite the results.

If games were decided on xG ( I know they're not [emoji38] ) I think they'd have lost every game this season as well as the play offs.

It's unsustainable and they will be found out eventually, but every game their luck holds out is another step toward safety. For now.

Another keeper error to add to the four already, calamity own goal and a couple of shots which would have been back passes if it hadn't been for a deflection. Could add the idiot Bournemouth player, tapping in on the goal line when in an offside position, even though the ball was going in anyway. That has given them nearly half their points this season. I know every team has a bit of luck on the way, but nothing near to what these have had. Otherwise the points total would totally match their actual play and XG

Facts don't lie dafty

You have been banging the same drum as to how shite we are all season, yet sit on 22 points.

xG means fuck all and ball possession means fuck all. We are a newly promoted club that has a game plan of sticking men behind the ball, making ourselves extremely difficult to play against by being physical, using set pieces and playing predominantly counter attacking football. Le Bris has them drilled when to press at home with the crowd up and when to sit back and absorb pressure.

We would be getting battered every week if we went toe to toe with established PL clubs, looking to dominate the ball and outplay teams.

The team are very effective at what they do, it isn't just luck.

Got fuck all to do with XG you tit. I have stated factual incidents within games that have given you points, which you nearly certainly wouldn't have got them if these incidents didn't occur. I haven't even mention the 3 sitters against Forest, Villa and Everton. Typical of you trying to justify something which has nothing to do with the points I made, a bit like you and your sell out crowds (bullshit), when you posted photos showing the empty seats.

Not straws actual FACTS, which can't be disputed [emoji38]

'Incidents' happen in football Brutey, it would be a boring game if everything was scripted wouldn't it?

RE the argument for teams gifting us goals which has contributed to our points total, can the same be said for the games we have lost points through our own mistakes or gifted the opposition goals? or does that agenda not suit?

Finally catching up on MotD. Wish Bournemouth would implode like this when they come to our ground mind

Still the best side I have seen at the SOL this season, breath taking at times the way they move the ball forward so quickly. Semenyo and Evanilson were both quality.

Mistakes, every team's goal is due to a misplaced pass or a player being robbed somewhere down the line dafty

I'm no great fan of stats as presented nowadays, and sure they can be misleading over a short period, but eventually they start creating a picture.

In fact it's a huge part of modern day football planning and coaching. There's no way they are not aware of it.

Perhaps they're just well ahead of the game in terms of evolution, 532, 433, 442 whatever, play out from the back, high press, revert to long direct etc.

Maybe they've formulated a genius system where somehow you can be second best at everything except scoring [emoji38]

I just look on XG as one of your mates who watched a game you didn't saying this team had loads of better chances than the other team. We all do it.

Not being funny but I thought he had a poor game. Very poor.

xG is a nonsense in the aspect of a single game but xG and xGa can form a pattern of where you actually should be, of course its a useful stat or professionals wouldn't be using it.

As for Sunderland, they're still riding the crest of a wave with their tails up and they'll keep getting the rub of the green as long as they stay confident. As poor as they have been in games, they're still finding a way to win and are probably the best side that got promoted and better than a couple of PL sides that were in it last year. I doubt anyone thinks they're going to finish the season where they are but they will comfortably stay up on merit.
