Absolute shite from January to May, including the play offs this year, now look like they can genuinely challenge for Champions League. Played Chelsea, Arsenal, Villa and now Liverpool and not lost to any of them, coupled with their home form, they've got every chance of Europe. We've been adding to our squad for 5 years and they look better than us Need to accept they're not going to drop off either, nearly half way through the season now and they've played a lot of good sides, here to stay. Good to see another team beat Liverpool while it lasts though. Either way I'm more bothered about how well we do than how well Sunderland do. But teams get found out all the while and need to regularly evolve. As we found out. As Liverpool have found out over one summer. Even City to a degree. The more tape teams have of them. The more they’ll be able to try and work a gameplan. They’ll also lose any players that are genuinely decent. Such is this shitty PSR world we all live in. They’re certainly a surprise package. I watched them on telly a lot last season and they were really strong first half of the season, played some very nice football, but then they dropped off a cliff and barely won a game for months until the play offs. They didn't exactly sign nobodies though, they brought in ex Atletico, PSG and Arsenal players alongside some decent young players with a shit load of potential. Do they actually look that good? I'll admit they look far better than I expected, but again today the opposition were absolutely woeful and the mackems goal takes a big deflection.
