Some of our utter melts saw it as our god given right we’d just have to turn up to turn them overZ
Guillaume
Their best season ever, our worst in a long time. Normality will be restored next season.
Harry 209
Just qualified for Europe and already there's three threads just been started on RTG that reference NUFC. We are ALWAYS the priority.
Wallsendmag
People actually thought Chelsea would beat these No such thing as a banker but this was as near as you can get. I won £390 off it anyway.

OverThere
Well done to them. They spent extremely well and we....well thanks Eddie and nephew.

It will be interesting to see how long they last in Europe and the impact on their league form. The only side who can stop them is Bournemouth. We gonna be fighting for Europe next season? Can't see it myself. Players heads have turned. Major squad surgery needed. But not possible due to PSR. Joy. Decky
You have to hold your hands up and say fair play to them. Not too many, certainly in this day and age, come up and get into Europe at the first shout. Blame our players and coaching staff for them beating us twice and finishing 5 points ahead of us. They've players who want to fight for their club and we've far too many spineless cunts in our squad.

Looking at both clubs, theyre potentially ahead of us now, they'll definitely be looking forward to next season more than we will. Never thought this would happen this quick. Yes, must be terrifying seeing them equal their highest ever finish. Edited May 24 by Coffee_Johnny

Big Geordie
As I said in another thread, they've done really well this season and have deserved where they have finished. Football is always about peaks and troughs - we don't have a god given right to finish about them all the time. If anything it should spur us on next year to make sure it doesn't happen again. gdm
They took advantage of a terrible premier league this season. Fair play to them. It’ll be tough for them next season
TheInfiniteOdyssey
No confidence at all we’ll close the gap at all. They’ve got - a setup that has a great talent ID track record and get deals done at sensible prices. - a bunch of talent they can sell on for big profit, if needed. - real characters in the team that gets them through games they’d otherwise lose. - a fantastic defensively-minded coach that grinds them through points. - pragmatic sense of what the team needs and when. - an underdog spirit. They will be able to attract a good calibre of player with European football and their networking. Edited May 24 by TheInfiniteOdyssey
TBG
Europe coupled with a better home shirt than ours and I can see quite a few of us defecting over, and you can quote me on that - RTG, Football Away Days, The Chronicle etc etc.

Yep, anyone saying that they'll suffer from 2nd season syndrome or that Europe will kill them is just huffing copium. It's far more likely that they establish themselves as a decent top half team amongst the other spreadsheet shaggers like Brighton and Brentford. I'm concerned about next season tbh, look at the fucking state of the teams in the EL semis the last 2 years and look at the teams who will qualify next year. Who would you trust to stop them winning the bloody thing?
Menace
Effectively built a team that finished above us for the price we paid for 3 dossers. Awful season.

UncleBingo
Not sure that they get away with that much spawn next season, but fair play to them. Looking forward to them taking 200,000 from Ponteland Airport already, marra.
