Didnt it get cancelled ?

It did but they've got a combination of council, central government, and external investment to revive it I believe.

Glass Centre is still shutting in the next few months as far as I know

Ambitious project, Glass Centre and the smell of Lynx Africa, tabs and disappointment.

Thought it was odd loads of players had been knocking on my front door and asking if they could come in lately.

This point would be more credible if we weren't actively and successfully competing on all fronts.

Obviously the FA Cup hasn't really started, but we're in the LC semis, in the knockout stages of the CL (possibly good enough to bypass the next round) and 3 points off 4th place in the PL. What, pray tell, should we have sacrificed to achieve what better outcome? Can they quantify where we should have focussed, and for what better outcome? Or is it failure if we fail to win everything? No team does that. Or if we fail to win ANYTHING? Well we're literally the current LC holders.

They'd have a point if we were 17th and out the cups, but as it is that post is a bit unhinged.

What exactly is their project?

Buy a load of low cost African and French players, hope that one or a couple prove to be better than expected so they can be sold for a tidy profit to line the pockets of their owner??

To be fair it seems to have worked so far.

Their project is ambitious. That's all we need to know.

Relatively ambitious. It's a cheaper brighton/Bournemouth model, who have been doing it for years. It's nothing new, worked out OK for forest even with deductions.

They've had a pop and it's worked. Fair play. Rather see that than another Burnley, treading water and expecting relegation. But buying to sell is not really ambition. It's playing the psr system, rolling the dice and seeing if the gamble works.

Apart from Wolves and West Ham games their wins are all by a single goal margin.

They’re doing what they’ve needed to do to accumulate points and overachieving vs expectations, but it’s by fine margins. Plus loads of late goals too.

Suggests a team doing well through graft and determination, but lacking the ability to comfortably see teams off unless it’s relegation fodder.

Spose it’s a decent blueprint for a newly promoted side. And it’s definitely working for them.

Fucksakes, Dry Jan has made me so fucking boring.

PS. Woe betide any stat nonce who starts @ing me with xG or xPts shite. There’ll be ructions.
