Pilko
Nowt wrong with playing top level opposition in pre-season, like. I'm sure we'll have a local jaunt to Pools, Darlow, Gateshead, Carlisle etc to start with and maybe some Championship opposition in the UK too but may as well coin it in on these tours if we can. The key difference to the Ashley era far-flung jaunts is that they'll be just as conducive to getting the lads ready for mid-August as they will be to making money. The only way I can get through a spell there is to drink heavily and wish for a fresh North Easterly. And there's the other reason I don't like it - price of booze 🙄
Groundhog63
Went to Singapore with the 1st MrsG. Did Raffles, Sentosa etc etc. Loved it. Mind this was circa 1992 😂

Theregulars
Pints probably 12-15 sing dollars now? When I lived there when you adjusted for currency it was about the same / a bit more than London. Best way is to just get some cheap bottles of Tiger (produced there) and drink amongst friends in one of the many nice warm places to sit. Re: humidity we used to aim for one glass of water for every pint. You piss all evening but really helps with the hangover.

Ah well makes sense I guess the fees to pay both clubs to come and play here won't be cheap. My salary is more akin to a locals than an expat so I have to be more prudent. Fenham Mag
Great news about no post season tour, that one in Australia was utterly pathetic. Give the lads a proper summer off, fresh and ready to win the league next season.

Joelinton7
Good there’s no end of season round the world trip. What a farce that second game was last time, can’t think the players or Eddie were truly happy having to do it. Give them a break ffs.

54
So it looks like its going to be something like: Celtic (A) - Middle of July Arsenal (N) - Singapore - July 27th Tottenham (N) - South Korea - Late July K-League Side (N) - South Korea - Early August Sela Weekender - 2x Back to Back games - 9th/10th August Very decent and competitive pre-season that. Was hoping we'd have all our business done by pre season and be ready to go but that's not happening is it?

I doubt it, mainly as I think its been mentioned that a lot of our business will have to be done after July 1st, when we'll be in a decent PSR position.
