But it's still a moot point. When people criticise Pope it's his kicking or his ability to hit the deck quick, nowt else really.

We're all aware of how good he is was a traditional keeper.

Agreed, but my point is his kicking doesn't affect things like some make out. As in, if we signed a GK with better feet it would mean we would be so much better. Frankly i think that's nonsense, but must admit I'm biased, as i do think Pope is a rather good GK.

Man City are circling Livramento.

if we don’t sort things the fuck out don’t be so sure Howe will happily still be here and as for them selling us that’s realistically not going to happen but them being absent as they are certainly is

Exactly. So as I said originally.

This summer can get much worse.

Easily.

The joy of my old age will be when all of this shit is ours and all the online twats and bots have been reconfigured to support Newcastle and everyone hates football because money has ruined the game but oh wait Newcastle won again.

You asked how it could get worse this summer. We are really at an inflection point here. Still some time to make the summer redeemable, but any injuries to our first 11 would be more than problematic if we don’t get bodies in.

Vinny man, it's not worth it.

Just have to let them keep on.

No point replying to those sort of posts.

Haven't been watching the game. Everything okay with Botman? Saw that he may have been subbed off.

Downed tools and demanded to leave too...

Or possibly a groin strain and a precaution sub. 🤣

Fuck me. It was a throw away line about how bad the summer has been. Of course it could get worse.

I've enjoyed the game, despite the biased ref and comms. It's been a good workout for the lads.

Yep totally agree. We still look a good side.

Which makes it galling we haven't managed to add a few more to bed into the group prior to season starting.

An OG and a shit penalty but can’t wait for the shite takes to get in the way of what is actually a very encouraging run out.

100%, good run out against a good team who have had longer in Singapore to acclimatise, first goal for Elanga, certainly feel a lot better than after the celtic game.
