This report from later in the season sums it up well:

Still there was no interest in sacking him. Man oh man, those days.

If it wasn’t for Covid, we were going down. When we came back, many clubs just wanted to play out the season to get it over and done with. We were able to gain the points from it and gain confidence. The next season which was also largely played behind closed doors is where Bruce benefitted without having the fans on his back.

It’s absolutely no surprise that we were going down without a whimper as soon as fans were allowed back in.

Whatever happened to the lauded potential of that young lad of ours, Garang Kuol? Seems he's had loans at a couple of clubs but has come to nothing, I seem to remember him being described as an exciting young talent - I mean, I'm guessing something must have gone wrong for him, wonder if it was his attitude or something.

Just not as good as everyone had hoped really.

We had as many different scorers in one league match last season against Sheff Utd, then we have had so far this season. Need a few others to start chipping in with goals.

Was looking for the story about SBR taking Dyer(?) into a separate room in the dressing room and pretending to telling him off when he was in agreement with the criticism. Couldn't find it, but found another story I haven't seen before(or at least don't remember) which was quite amusing:

Playing for the u21s. As is Harrison. Both are exciting young talents, but need more development to see if they’re going to be a first team option.
(Both played last night against Everton in 2-2 draw at Whitley Park; Kuol played 70mins Harrison full game).

Lovely!

Looking further ahead I’m torn on whether I want Spurs to stay in or drop out of the Top 8 in the Europa. Top 8 guarantees them two games bookending the Carabao final weekend, whereas finishing outside of it means two games earlier where they run the risk of being knocked out and having a day extra to prepare.

Probably false hope in that Liverpool will muller their walking wounded in the 2nd leg at Anfield next week making it a moot point.

Burn seems to be such a nice bloke like

Can probably mention it now they are all done and finished, but company I work for did houses for a few players... Paul Dummett, then Callum, and then Big Dan.

Met them all, and of the three, Dan (and his wife) was the most down to earth, just proper genuine bloke with very little 'airs and graces' about him, and a lot easier to talk to than the others.
