3 points was the difference in European football this season and a lot more money. I doubt they'd even want to lose a point.

Bending over for your loud mouth owner and giving up all dignity, I’d take the hit seriously.

So if he is right...we probably didn't get what we wanted. Just accepted what we needed?

But it is also Luke Edwards...

edit: With him starting immediately though...surely got closer to what we wanted at least.

So after all that there was no need for any of that drama in the press. Makes it all the stranger

Client media trying to force us to cave to the mighty UNITED at a fee they could afford at the time.

Good for us that we can put this to bed. Like everyone the details would be interesting but main thing is we move forward. Will be interesting if we bother to appoint anyone in his place before season starts or at all and go down a slightly different route.

So even the 68m received from two sales are not enough to fulfil the PSR requirement? That’s crazy

It's not June anymore. That year ended

For Dan to start at Man U “imminently”, it suggests that they have paid more than what they wanted to, but less than what we wanted if we accepted for PSR reasons…

It’ll be this. Get ready for counter-briefings from both sides.

We allegedly want 20

They want 2

Split the difference: 11

Add a million for Ratcliffe being a whingebag

12 million final and you can have him now. Jobs a good'n.

The media have been a bit off with it, first they said Minteh was enough, then Anderson and now Ashworth.

Could be another unified "Newcastle are skint" front to help with transfer fees. Probably not a good idea to go into the buying stage with clubs knowing we have a fortune burning a hole in our pocket.

So we had to sell Minteh, Anderson and Ashworth just to comply with PSR.

Clubs management and future prospects sold, PSR saves the day again.

Glad we didn't go bankrupt yesterday, small graces.

Its crazy mate maybe the new sponsorship deals dont kick in till next year.

Never known a time when money is the topic and football is secondary. Needs outing in ourts of law as it permanently suits the top six and penalises anyone who dares to knock on the door like us and Villa. Even Leicester have had to sell a top player to Chelsea who worm their way thfough loophole after loophole

Luke has shown he knows nothing on the PSR stuff.

I’m pleased this weasel issue is concluded though.

He cant be all that if we’ve had to somehow generate £60+ million on the final day of June or suffer a points deduction.

My opinion is that we gave in to Man Utd and took a low fee for PSR reasons. It makes much more sense than Man United coughing up money today.

Doubt this has anything to do with PSR other than Man Utd not wanting to spend before July kicked in.

We were in a much worse position a week ago so they could have low balled us again and it might have worked.

They’ll have been more desperate as the summer goes on to have someone in place for when the Euros start wrapping up, going to be a very busy market from that point on to not have anyone in place to handle that side of the business.

Same goes for us too, we really need to step up the search.

My opinion is that Man Utd met us halfway today so that both clubs can get down to planning for incomings in earnest for the coming months without the weight of an unresolved DoF issue on our collective backs.
