Nick Pope out for a month with knee ligament injury (Various)

Recommended Posts

Is it normal for Pope not to do the pre-match warm up ?

Got into the ground much earlier than normal today so watched the warm up for a change, thought Pope mustn't be playing as there was no sign of him on the pitch

Not sure if it was mentioned in commentary / interviews, but Pope picked up a minor hamstring niggle in training this week which could explain some of his peculiar movements today.

picked up a nasty ankle injury in the second half at a crucial time.

luckily managed to play the rest of the match through the pain.

He was there when I got in the ground in the warm up goal. Was around 12.40 keeper coach smashing half volleys at him

Keepers always leave the warmup earlier than the outfield players

Why dat ?

Keepers just get to chill for 30 mins whilst the outfield players and sub keepers are grafting on the pitch ?

Surprised at a lot of these comments. He kept us in the game!! With all he had to do are people really digging him out over that? He saved the follow up shot!
I can’t imagine what the score would’ve been if we had Vicario in goal….

On the Burn own goal it looked like he just tipped it past the far post. Do not understand the hate. He had some terrible goal kicks but overall I though it was good ole Pope.

It was slick conditions for catching the ball at speed, I'm not holding him focusing on making sure the ball finished up outside danger areas against him.
