Got no idea if mine's auto-renewed or not

 

Had an email to say it would auto-renew, didn't switch off the auto-renew, no money gone out, can't see anything on my ticketing account to indicate whether I've renewed or not.

 

As it stands right now I might not be a member. Or maybe I am. I feel like I'm trapped in renewal limbo. Help me, somebody, please help me.

Mine went out - in pending transactions currently. £47 for another season of ballot failures, the joy.

Received the email on 16th as below, money is pending to go out tomorrow according to my banking app :

If you'd prefer not to renew, you can opt-out any time before 29 May 2025.

To opt out of auto-renewal, follow the below steps:

 

Log in to your ticketing account at book.newcastleunited.com.

Click your name in the top right corner.

Select ‘Memberships’ from the drop-down menu.

Tick the box on the left of the download button for the membership you’d like to amend.

Select ‘auto-renew’ button to the right of the page.

Un-tick the box in the ‘enrolled’ column.

Click ‘Ok’ button.


If we don't hear from you by 29 May 2025, your membership will automatically renew, and £47 will be processed according to your chosen payment method.

Yet I can't seem to find anywhere on the website that clearly indicates said failure. :lol: The website is still such absolute dogshit to navigate, especially on mobile.

 

Snap. New bank account - no emails saying it's failed, renewed, can't see on the site I would tell, either.

They've not updated my account to show the membership is renewed neither 🤣

According to the Box Office there were flags on my account for apparent ticket touting and multiple browser use, which blocked me being able to access and buy.

Fellow queue/resale/multi-browser nonces - if you can't buy that might be why. Just had a big lecture from the Box Office about account sharing blah blah blah, "if it happens again you'll be blocked permanently" etc... I also suspect just using a VPN for security will make me look dodgy as it keeps changing the IP address.

 

Although I got that after they tried to fob me off with something about my membership.

 

If they're tracking that stuff now, the resale strategy may need a rethink, but positive if they're dealing with bots/actual touts I guess.

 

EDIT: They've unlocked it to let me buy, and then blocked me again after the purchase. Absolutely useless.
