triggs
Its a terrible award. Sterling's been around about 6 years now. Surely Alli is more deserving than Rashford of being there too?
joeyt
Daft how 24-year old Kane could win that Sterling will still qualify for it next year too, by which time he'll probably have more than 300 career appearances to his name
Guest firetotheworks
It should be Sané imo - obviously it'll be Kane, but he shouldn't be included, it should be 23 and under.
Dave
23 isn't that young any more, should be u-21.
Ginola
Should be dependent on the number of seasons played in the league as well as age imo. U23 and first or second season or something like that
Guest firetotheworks
Or Rookie of the season.
Mole_Toonfan
Or Rookie of the season. How would you define that though? can't be just any first year player because someone could buy a 28 year old from La Liga or something
Sima
Or Rookie of the season. Has to be over 15 games or something? I dunno, I'm just thinking out loud.
Deuce
The 2018 nominees for the PFA Young Player of the Year: Harry Kane Ederson Marcus Rashford Leroy Sane Ryan Sessegnon Raheem Sterling Dunno why this isn’t just limited to first-year players. Edit: what KI said.

X number of appearances) Or they could just scrap it all together.
Guest
Aye, under 23 with under 50 career appearances.
Ketsbaia
Remove Kane and it should be Sterling's award. Interesting that Sessegnon is listed.

Twinport53
Can't remember what thread it was discussed in. But somebody mentioned recently how Wolves have been promoted "out of nowhere" with "average signings". This is a very brief summary of why that's horse shit. huss9
how did they get round the financial regulations?
Twinport53
As FFP is cummulative, they spent pennys for two season in order to spend big for the past two (I think it's losses accounted over 2 or 3 seasons). As the video says, even if they have over spent and broke FFP, they won't be part of the EPL to be fined, as they are now promoted. Just have to wait and see if they did infact break FFP, and then wait for relegation like QPR to see the outcome.
Stifler
how did they get round the financial regulations? You get 3 years to balance it out, and then you start getting fined, then points deducted if it it still happens. They gambled that their spending would see them promoted within 3 years, and it has.
