Reckon a medical will be mentioned by the COB today, either Pedro or Trafford.

Aye, I have a feeling it’s a Ornstein agreement reached/Fab here we go kinda day.

Isak, Gordon, Pedro and Elanga on the counter would be terrifying for any defence in the world.

And then you consider Trafford baiting the press and hitting an accurate pass up field.. beautiful

Trafford in Ibiza and Pedro in Brazil so doubt it.

Guess we’ll be moving more into a 4-4-2 shape out of possession which we have seen at times with Gordon when up alongside Isak.

Wouldn’t be shocked if Pedro ends up in a similar role to Joelinton, as in moving more into a central midfield, but then a better player in final third.

Having Pedro would open up quite a few tactical options as well as allowing us to rotate.

He could work in our existing 433, gives us the opportunity to play 4231 or go two up top.

I can see why he’s such an attractive signing. He solves a lot of potential problems.

Found this interesting from The Transfer Flow newsletter a couple of weeks ago. They took a look at some additional stats for Joao Pedro as he's a bit of a hybrid striker/attacking midfielder:

Suggests that he's fairly unique as someone who both gives and receives a high amount of line-breaking passes in his position. Could really see it working with him playing just behind Isak and being the link between him and Sandro/Bruno

Sounds absolutely perfect for what we need

Honestly sick of the double speak from our journalists. Advanced negations but not, closing in on a player but £10m apart. If you’ve got nothing stfu.

This is a bit annoying like.

Closing in with £10m apart in valuations and the player still on his hols suggests there's still a fair way to go like. I guess it just depends if you believe that line that the club is confident they can get this done.

If we've bid £50M for him and Brighton "want closer to £60M" that sounds fairly reasonable. You'd hope that the difference of £6/7M could be negotiated pretty easily over the next week or so.

Thinking about it he makes perfect sense in terms of more of a target man and different looks formation wise. But also if we’ve played CL then have an away game or home match a few days later start this lad and we’re still looking good.
