LFEE Posted Thursday at 10:48 Share Posted Thursday at 10:48 Yeah. If we do as much in depth homework as we allegedly do. Then makes perfect sense if the same player for same position comes available again we’d revisit if the parameters of the financial package haven’t changed unreasonably. Hence my only doubt with this link. Like @The College Dropout said i think in some games he could actually displace Joelinton in midfield. Feel his ability is a little wasted too high up the pitch. Theregulars Posted Thursday at 11:14 Share Posted Thursday at 11:14 Would have him quickly, good player. Clearly an eye for goal. Could do with diving less.
Vaj Posted Thursday at 11:48 Share Posted Thursday at 11:48 He is a worse version of Cunha for me, can play ST, AM and LW, he is from Brazil and he has a nasty side to him. We were apparently after him as well, so maybe this is a priority position to us. However, he is three years younger and is doing much better at this age than Cunha was. If Howe wants him and has a plan for him and Isak together then I am all for it. No more than £60m though, preferably closer to the £50m mark. TRon Posted Thursday at 15:19 Share Posted Thursday at 15:19 I like Pedro, just not sure we can have him at the same time as Isak.

You think like that and you are ultimately not signing any forwards. As great a player as he is in all 3 of his seasons there are numerous times he’s needed resting or playing not fully fit. Also we’ve got to look beyond 433 all the time and be able to play different formations etc. Edited Thursday at 15:36 by LFEE

He seems to have a bit of an ego so just seems unlikely even if he's getting games.
wyn davies Posted Thursday at 15:42 Share Posted Thursday at 15:42 When in doubt, leave out, could cause upset at the club and we'd be stuck with it.

He might be #1 in 12 months if Isak doesn’t re-sign and we cash in with 2yrs left… We’ve 8 extra games this season and with a decent squad hopefully that will be the norm every year regardless of level of European competition. Loads of opportunities for him to start and Isak to sit out. Edited Thursday at 15:45 by LFEE

Hopefully not as an Isak replacement, but you have to be prepared for every eventuality. Ideally having them both would bomb us into regular CL football where we can compete on wages with the cartel clubs.

Regarding realistic I think it’s a problem we all pretty much suffer from… The idea of have a great squad with depth to allow us to compete in ALL competitions season in and out. It feels unrealistic. It really shouldn’t with these owners and their ambition. Just what we’ve become accustomed to over the decades.
