British players tend to regard Newcastle as a big club because of our fanbase. Not sure foreign players would be that clued up about Newcastle. Ikon
Wouldn’t mind an attacking front of Gordon, Pedro, Isak and Kudus with Tonali and Bruno in a double pivot in a 4-2-3-1 fluid setup. Would have a bit of everything. Dynamic and technical ability. Edited 19 hours ago by Ikon

Joelinton7
Why have I just clicked an embed that says “talks for Joao Pedro at advanced stage” only to see it’s an article about us becoming a £1bn club and talks for JP are “advancing, not “advanced”. SteV
Daily non-update from the Chron https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-handed-transfer-plan-31892134 And for those who refuse to click on the aids of the Chron website Spoiler Newcastle United or Chelsea are yet to make a concrete offer for Joao Pedro with Brighton & Hove Albion understood to be open to negotiations. So far, a figure of £60m has been mooted for the 23-year-old Brazil international with intermediaries relaying numbers to both the Blues and the Magpies. Pedro remains on holiday but Brighton supremo Tony Bloom remains open to offers. Indeed, Brighton star Matt O’Riley, a one-time Toon target, has been the subject of an official enquiry this week from Napoli with a firm offer of £25.6m coming from the Serie A side. Newcastle have an idea of Pedro's wages and were told that the South American would be open to a move north. Suggestions have also come from Pedro's camp that Chelsea would also be an attractive proposition for the star. However, the starting point has to be a bid from Newcastle which Brighton say is not forthcoming so far. Brighton will sell at £60m with Albion supremo Tony Bloom not closing the door on sales. He told ITV Racing: "I don't think we will be doing a huge amount more (incoming business) between now and the end of the window." Head coach Eddie Howe stated on the last game of the season against Everton that a quick process was vital on Tyneside. He told Chronicle Live then: "Speed is key for us and I have reiterated that many times internally. Speed is key because we have to be dynamic, we have to be ready to conclude things very quickly because good players don't hang around for long." There is no sense that Howe is frustrated by the lack of signings so far from insiders but the clock is ticking towards the first day of pre-season training. Howe sees the start of pre-season as the ideal starting point for any new signing. As things stand Newcastle are the only club in dialogue with Pedro's agent but there is a danger of the player holding out too long. Newcastle may need to make him an offer he can't refuse. I'm certain he also shared a bunch of things weren't true. It's entirely possible he got one thing from someone and then tried to trade off that. Anyone can get ITK info once. I got something once myself, but I'll not get anything again.

I had ITK info that Keegan was coming back in 2008 Also had ITK info that Alan Smith and Rob Elliott (the keeper not the full back) were signing. However, those are the sort of moments when you wish you weren't an ITK

He got way more than that, for a good year he was as reliable as anyone. As well as Minteh (6 months before he signed) he brought up Lewis Hall when absolutely no one else had mentioned him, likewise Livramento and Gordon. There were others too where we were linked and he was saying we definitely weren't in for them: Paqueta, Solanke, Smith-Rowe, and others. He hasn't had anything since 2023 though, basically saying that he's been told nothing since then.
