What a crock of sh*t.  Isak is not for sale at any price.  The bin dippers have got so used to unsettling other clubs players they can't understand why we dont roll over and sell Isak to them.  Looking back they did the same to get Carroll and before that Alan Kennedy followed by Terry Mac.  Then look at all the other players they poached from other clubs.  Its the Bin Dipppers modus operendai!!!! Buy success!!!!

Happier under Ashley then? We just won a cup and are in the CL for the 2nd time in  3 years

Don't be so Daft man

It was a pathetic attempt at regurgitating an old Talksport joke about chess players

In nearly 50 years of actively following / supporting Newcastle, this period is without doubt the most enjoyable / happiest iv'e ever been regarding football, the 3 day Wembley trip this year would be the best days I can remember (kids aside)

Not everyone gets my humour, apologies

Just two options then?  Be as happy as a dog with two dicks or want Ashley back?

It is possible to have a more nuanced view and be frustrated with the lack of speed and action to address the significant deficits in our squad, infrastructure and commercial operations while still being happy with how things are going overall.

If we were going for shit players we’d be moving faster. Clubs are desperate to get rid and players themselves will agree terms quickly, knowing it’s more unlikely a better proposition becomes available.

Frustrating as fuck but it comes with the territory when you’re in for that caliber of player.

Exactly Arsenal still haven't sign Gyokeres either for example.

Wish there was an NUFC transfer hotline people could dial into to bitch and moan at Andy Howe or something.

Have no idea what complaining on here constantly is supposed to achieve exactly!

Surely debate is the whole purpose of this forum? [emoji38]

It's every single thread on here at the minute man.

I could understand this reaction if the window had just closed or something.

This is ridiculous.

I think its got context though no signings for ages, ages spent on tracking and monitoring as seen by revisiting past targets for little to no reward.

The club trying and working hard may still leave the club short of players and another hard slog season.

While I would normally say reserve judgement for the end the window its been a very hard slog with regular bad news it starts to get to you.  This isn't a well we missed out on him and move on when it appears to come at every turn.

So ultimately you guys just want the club to set its sights lower from the outset, and just get what they can right?

Do we end up with the likes of Tonali and Isak if we go with such an approach?

Just let them work their way through their list and lets see where we're at once the window closes.

Then if we fail I have your permission to complain? 😉

I'll be right there with you brother!

I'll be astounded if we end up short come the end of the window.

I just think we have left ourselves too much to do with the small pool of players we seemingly like or want. Ready and desperate to look stupid again and the club pull it off.

What's more scary is we have quite a bit of work to do next summer so over spend or leave recruitment areas until next year leaves another big window.

Kaka we have a new DOF every other week man.

Howe's great at identifying well known players who will fit our system and group, but as a club we've failed to properly give him what he needs (some of this might be his fault).

Things might still end up good, but they would likely be a lot better with someone in charge who Howe trusts and who isn't a weasel like Ashworth.

No - we want the club - namely PIF to give Eddie the staff he needs to get transfers done quickly.
