Load of shite targett, Wilson and longstaff a chunk of that can offset an Isak bump we aren't ever going to get him to 300 or 350 a week but I am sure we could do 200 or 220k is that enough? No idea.

Also I am sure people have said if he signs a new deal we spread his amortisation over that new contract length bringing the yearly psr cost down?

I'm not really clear on this tbh.  They keep saying we'll be moving to the UEFA squad cost rules so it'd be percentage of turnover in which case would the weird PSR stuff factor in?

Not sure to be honest squad costs rules surely would still be how much the player costs you in fee over the life of the contract and wages?

I really wish our takeover was 20 years ago and by now would be a minor inconvenience rather than a road block at every turn.

Puts too much pressure of the manager and players to keep working miracles and the commercial team to pluck new income out of thin air.

Its frustrating as to have good income you need success we have had that in boat loads relative to where we were but want to push on. I assume the hope would be champions league qualification again for next year ideally. Where as we are more closer to being unable to get what we need to do that next year and as a consequence of that could lead to players leaving meaning we start the rebuild/attempt again. Doesn't lend itself to a linear rise which is far from  certain even without spending restrictions.

Yes, the UEFA squad cost rules include both wages and amortisation of transfer fees, so it would still be the case that we could significantly increase Isak's wages without a FFP impact under squad cost rules.

Isak needs to make up his mind and be clear with the club what his intentions are. If he wants to go let's get it done and try to get a decent striker in. If he's happy to stay then come out and say it and let's move on from all this fkn nonsense. I'd be gutted to lose him but football goes on and we're trying to break in to the top 5/6. We're losing focus because of this imo.
