Interpolic
He's a confident lad like Noticed it in the post-Wolves interview as well, he said something like "yeah I did really well" or similar
HaydnNUFC
I love him. The arrogance/confidence and not giving a flying fuck attitude is something I've always thought he had. Watching him get interviewed it always looks like he's trying not to laugh due to not taking it seriously because of the aforementioned mentality/confidence. He's absolutely brilliant and given how he's celebrated some of the goals he's scored for us (as well as jumping over the hoardings and celebrating amongst the fans after his assist away at Southampton in the cup) I think NUFC has gotten right under his skin. Fucking adore the man. Edited March 18, 2023 by HaydnNUFC
Ginola
Had time to sleep on it and rewatch a few bits from yesterday and I've realised I'm 100% completely in love with him

He’s absolutely class like. Be magic if he kicks on like he can.
Kid Icarus
It's quite rare that we have a striker who isn't just absolutely class, but that's right up my street. The last time we had one was Remy. This lad is fucking lush like, whatever 'it' is, he's got it.
Disco
Would like him to attack the box a little more unless he’s been told not too but I know what you mean. That mackem comment about him being shit as he’s not 2/3 stone heavier pretty much sums it up in a weird way. Absolutely one of those players who will raise his game with better around him too. Cronky
One thing that hasn’t been mentioned much is how good his assist was for the Anderson goal that was wrongly chalked off. The ball came to him when he was on the floor in a crowded area. Somehow he created the space under pressure to put in a great cross. Only a very small handful of players could have done that. The Prophet
It's been mentioned how good his goal contributions to minutes are. He should also have a goal at Anfield and an assist at the City Ground to add to that.
Kanj
Creating space for the assist is not even remotely describing what he did with proper justice. He got up in an instant, dragged the ball back and flicked it forward to his left. Killed the entire def and goalie dead. And then casually lofted it to the back post. All of that took literally 1.5 seconds.

Yep, it was unreal. His assist for Joelinton against Southampton was absolutely top tier as well. I know people will say Bruno and I won't argue but I think Isak is probably the most talented player in the squad. Early days I know so it's a bit of a punt, but I think we've got a potential top-three-in-the league-er here.
LV
Bit gutted I have to wait another week or so to see him play in a toon shirt again

HawK
Depends on how you define 'talent', in terms of raw, unorthodox and instinctive skill and confidence, Isak is absolutely the best, followed by Maxi imo. If you open up the definition to include street-savviness, winning free kicks, ball retention, killer balls then Bruno is amazing. We've got some exceptional footballers at the club right now. What a great debate to have.
McCormick
Harsh not to mention Trippier. Such a clever and technically savvy player; probably one of the best touches in the league as well imo.
James
Beyond dribbling ability I don’t think ASM is a particularly talented player
Kid Icarus
His passing goes pretty unnoticed imo. He often picks it up on the left and plays a perfect through ball to Willock, Joelinton, and most recently against Wolves, Isak. Pretty weird to discount someone's best talent as well like. You may as well say that beyond goalscoring Haaland isn't particularly talented, it's meaningless. Edited March 21, 2023 by Kid Icarus
James
No he is a very wasteful unintelligent passer who occasionally hits a corker. you can very much discount a talent if the talent doesn’t help much. Sooner people realise that ASM was of similar quality to LuaLua the better.
Kid Icarus
Each to their own like, but it's hard to present an argument to any of those things without it just being me saying that I think everything you've said is very, very wrong, really. Lish007
ASM practically carried us when we were Brucied. If it wasn't for him, we would have sunk long ago. He's far better than LuaLua. It takes someone special to be able to carry a team like that.
Geogaddi
Maxi carried us at time under Bruce basically as he was just allowed to do what he wanted and was pretty much our only outlet. Now that he isn't allowed to just do what he wants and is expected to play as part of a system and is part of a team challenging for the top 4 and not the bottom 4 his limitations have been exposed. The Prophet
If anything, ASM's passing and awareness have improved under Howe. Edited March 21, 2023 by The Prophet

Think it's the exact opposite tbh. Now that he has to work in a system under Howe and he's working on being that type of player, he's gone too far with it, thrown the baby out with the bath water and he isn't using the main strength he's known for as much as he could and probably should be.
