I've found most matchgoing Liverpool or Arsenal fans to be OK in general. Don't get any grief in the pubs near their stadiums (just need to hide colours on way in at Arsenal due to the way the Met police football.) Plenty worse away experiences out there.

 

Online fans are, of course, a very different kettle of fish and Arsenal's are the pettiest amd most obnoxious of the whole lot.

I think he will be off next summer, but it will be to one of the big European glamour clubs.  Obviously Liverpool are a big club with a storied history and all that, but it's still based in Liverpool - it's never going to be able to compete with the likes of Madrid or Barcelona.  400k a week, but having to live on the Wirral is not comparable to being by the beach on the med.
